Not overly busy or crowded, a standard Sheraton. The front desk was generally accommodating, the bellhop was quick, and the concierge service was thoughtful, proactively asking if we needed baby amenities.

The Sheraton Beihai Resort is located in Guantouling, which is a bit out of the way. The sand on Guantouling beach is quite coarse, and the waves are strong, so swimming isn't an option, and walking barefoot on the sand isn't pleasant. However, the sea here is a more beautiful and cleaner color than at Silver Beach. It's also much quieter, making it perfect for those who prefer to avoid crowds. It's an ideal place to just relax at the hotel and enjoy the sea view from your balcony. Feeling the sea breeze, listening to the waves, and gazing at the ocean are all very pleasant; the sea view is fantastic and the vista is expansive. My only minor gripe is the red house villa in front. There aren't many dining options nearby either; I opted for the hotel's breakfast buffet, which didn't have a huge variety and the taste was just average – enough to fill you up, but not particularly delicious. On the positive side, the hotel environment is excellent, very clean, and the service is incredibly warm. It's a great spot for lazy travelers who just want to relax at the hotel and enjoy the sea.

This hotel is located on Guanto Mountain, making it perfect for sunset views. Getting to the beach from the hotel requires a bit of a walk; it's not direct access. The walk down to the beach is pretty easy, but the uphill trek back to the hotel is exhausting. The sand at Guanto Beach is a bit rough, not as fine and soft as Silver Beach, so it's not ideal for walking barefoot. It's more suited for photo ops. Right by the beach is the famous Instagram-worthy Shanxia Seaview Restaurant. The hotel breakfast offered very few options and wasn't tasty. The lobby was a bit warm. Frankly, if you're just looking to visit for sunset photos and a coffee shop, I don't think it's necessary to stay on Guanto Mountain, especially since a taxi from the city center is only about 20-30 yuan. However, if you do decide to stay on Guanto Mountain, I'd highly recommend the Sheraton. The Guanling Mountain Villa is too close to the beach, making it very damp, and it looks a bit dated.

The Sheraton Beihai truly exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and bright, with excellent cleanliness. The large balcony offered a great sea view. Facilities were well-maintained, with hot water and air conditioning working perfectly. The staff, including the photographer, were friendly and professional in every aspect of service; you could even see the photos before deciding. The environment was quiet and comfortable. The hotel's location was excellent, with convenient transportation nearby, and the price was reasonable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

The sea view sunset at Beihai Sheraton Resort is absolutely stunning! We were lucky enough to catch amazing weather, and the breathtaking sunset was visible right from the hotel lobby. The service was also excellent, especially Yuki, who was always quick to respond to any issues. The room had fantastic natural light and an incredible view. It was super comfortable for a family vacation by the sea. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Beihai.

Guantouling is a bit out of the way, so if you're not staying at a hotel here, I wouldn't recommend coming. If you're at the Sheraton, everything you need is right there. The beach is very close, and you can rent electric scooters at the entrance to ride to sights like 'Hai Ku Shi Lan' (literally 'sea dry stone rotten', a scenic spot) and Sunset Beach, which are all nearby. A suggestion: the customer service at the entrance is a bit poor; no one helped with our luggage. We had to wait from 12 PM until 2 PM to check in. The efficiency is a bit low. The room also had a strong musty smell. Everything else was decent. However, breakfast and the buffet dinner were a bit disappointing, with very few options.

We stayed in a suite near the restaurant, and it was incredibly noisy. Breakfast wasn't great either; they started clearing everything away by 10:30 AM. My two kids didn't even get to eat anything because there was nothing left. Customer service only offered apologies without making any actual changes.

The hotel is located in Guantouling, offering fantastic sea views. From the balcony, you can see the clear blue sea and sky, and directly below is the Sunset Beach, which is beautiful and uncrowded. The service was incredibly attentive, and the room was perfect for a family with kids. Overall, it was a fantastic stay! The breakfast was extensive, and they offered a shuttle service. We especially loved having a small private pool, which was just right for the kids to splash around in.

Staying at the Sheraton Beihai for a relaxing getaway exceeded my expectations! A big shoutout to Yuki, who was incredibly kind and attentive. My room had fantastic natural light and a direct ocean view right from the window. The hotel is super close to the beach, just a 3-4 minute walk. The pool area, with the ocean view and sea breeze, was so relaxing and peaceful – truly therapeutic. I felt so comfortable and at ease during my stay. Highly recommend! [Grinning face]

I suggest they upgrade their family rooms to two single beds plus one king-size bed. Since there wasn't a suitable family room, we stayed in two standard rooms. When I booked, there were no standard rooms with a sea view available, so we ended up with garden view rooms. Opening the window, you could see a lot of parked electric scooters and taxis, which made me a bit concerned about safety. It's very, very close to Guantouling. After breakfast, there's a door next to the elevator that leads directly out for a scenic walk down – just remember to bring your room card to open the door.

Wendy provided warm and thoughtful service. The sea view was absolutely stunning, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, with direct access to Guanling Sunset Beach, making it feel like a perfect vacation. I'll definitely come again next time!

I booked a sea-view suite, and although a typhoon prevented me from fully enjoying the ocean, the view was still great. The front desk staff were very friendly and provided good service. I had a couple of issues: 1. The 88 CNY per person buffet afternoon tea was terrible. I could barely stomach a bite of anything. The desserts used very low-quality ingredients, and items like the fried spring rolls were all cold and soggy. I mentioned this when checking out, but they just acknowledged it. 2. The Chinese restaurant's dishes were pretty good and met expectations. However, a plate of shrimp only had seven pieces, which is the first time I've ever seen that in a Chinese restaurant. When I brought it up to the waiter, their response was dismissive. Objectively speaking, the restaurant's other service was good, though.
