Komi Hotel (Beijing Chegongzhuang West Subway Station Fuwai Hospital Branch)

Great location and the staff were really welcoming. However, the smoke smell was really strong. Especially at night, the smoke would seep into the room. If the hotel is non-smoking, they should really enforce it. This is my second time staying here, and I had the same issue last time.

Both the service and environment at this hotel were excellent. I booked a windowless room, but it had an inner window facing the hallway, which allowed for ventilation. The surrounding facilities were also very convenient. It was a really great stay.

The room was incredibly small, barely enough space to open my suitcase (which then blocked the door). Soundproofing was practically non-existent; I could hear the people next door talking on the phone crystal clear, which made me hesitant to play videos too loudly myself. It felt like the rooms were too close together, even smaller than a private room in a hostel. However, everything else was great – there was a microwave and a water dispenser, and the price was quite reasonable for the location.

I was working overtime and caught a bit of a cold, so I booked a few nights at a hotel near my office. I'd recommend staying here; the bedding is really comfortable and it's pretty quiet. There's also a hospital nearby, so some guests are there to accompany patients. Overall, it's quite good value for money.
