When I first started looking for hotels in Beijing on Ctrip, I was completely misled by this hotel's claims of a fresh air system, latex mattresses, and so on. Upon arrival, I found the environment to be terrible. First of all, there was no sign for 'Dazheng Hotel' outside the building. I arrived at night and walked up and down the street for ages, unable to find it. Eventually, I had no choice but to call their front desk. It kept redirecting me to a Shanghai number, for some reason, and no one answered. Finally, after much effort, I found the Dazheng Hotel's front desk number through the booking page, but again, there was no answer. I stood in the cold wind for over twenty minutes before the front desk finally picked up. When I got upstairs, I saw that it shared the same sign and location as Qingyu Hotel, which was never mentioned on their hotel's promotional page. This whole ordeal wasted a lot of my time.
Once inside, the room was incredibly small. You could say you're on the bed as soon as you walk in, with no space even for a suitcase. I was traveling with my child, and the room felt very cramped, making it impossible to get a good rest. Additionally, when I wanted a drink, I found the kettle full of grime. Not just limescale, but a dark, murky mess, as if someone had put cigarette butts or something else in there. This clearly showed that the hotel pays no attention to cleaning the kettles during housekeeping. Such unhygienic conditions were unbelievable to me. So, despite originally booking two nights, I immediately changed my reservation to stay only one night. Most of the guests staying there seemed to be couples, so if you're looking for a peaceful accommodation, I'd advise caution before choosing this place.
