Beijing Marriott Hotel Changping

I arrived at 6 PM, and even with only three guests checking in, it took almost half an hour. I can only imagine how long it would take during a busy period. Someone even cut in line, and it was completely ignored. By the time I got to my room and settled in, it was past 7 PM, so we missed dinner, and my young child ended up going hungry. The lobby manager's attitude was terrible. The hotel room was not soundproof at all; the noise from next door continued until midnight, sounding like it was right in my ear. I had specifically mentioned needing a quiet room because I have a baby, but the hotel clearly didn't pay attention to that when assigning rooms. The bed pillows were even smaller than a baby pillow. They also said the first night included the mini-bar, but the fridge was empty. I originally came here with my child for the kids' playground, and I had planned to stay longer if the experience was good. Instead, we couldn't even enjoy the stay and were kept awake until midnight. The lobby manager on duty was completely incompetent. I hope the hotel provides better training. If they can't resolve issues and retain guests, and only escalate problems, they should replace that person soon to avoid further damaging the hotel's reputation. No one comes here just for a small snack.

This is my second visit, and I came specifically for the hot springs. Unfortunately, there was a sandstorm, so we could only enjoy the indoor pools with the little one, but we still had a great time. The room, as always, was clean and comfortable. Perhaps because it was during Chinese New Year and very busy, we arrived around 4 PM and had to wait a while to check in, and then wait even longer for our room to be ready as it hadn't been cleaned yet. It's conveniently located right next to Wanda Plaza, making dining and shopping very easy.

This was our second time visiting. **Room:** The family room has a bunk bed, but why is the bathtub right next to it? There are many sharp edges around the tub, making it very unsafe for a child to sleep nearby. Couldn't there be a partition between the tub and the bed? Also, the fitted sheet on the bottom bunk was significantly smaller than the mattress, with all four corners sticking up. When I asked a staff member about it, they said that's how it is and to just sleep like that. Only after I insisted did they change it to an adult-sized sheet. I asked for two more single duvets to use when sleeping with the kids, but was told not to even think about it. **Hot Springs:** The water was dirty, much worse than when we visited two years ago. I broke out in a very itchy rash on my legs the day we left. The changing room smelled terrible. **Buffet Dinner:** It cost 240 RMB per person, and there wasn't even any fresh green leafy vegetables. Overall, this experience was very poor. We likely won't be coming back.

2 adults and 1 child ticket to Tanglegong (child under 1.2m): My child absolutely loved it! The three huge splash pools kept them endlessly entertained. The facilities are well-equipped and the service is excellent. They have outdoor and indoor hot springs, a swimming pool, a gym, and a spa, which is perfect for families with kids. The breakfast also offers a wide variety of delicious options. We will definitely visit again.
