Super 8 Hotel (Wudaokou subway station, Beijing)

Came with my kids for a competition. After a long search around Wudaokou, I finally booked Super 8 Hotel, and I'm very satisfied with the choice. The room was spacious and comfortable with four beds for our family of four. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and proactively helped us with our luggage. They even told us how to get to Tsinghua University, which is very close. The breakfast was also quite diverse, with freshly made Chinese options. Hygiene: Extremely clean, with attention to every detail. Environment: It's located within a quiet residential area, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and it's quite affordable. Facilities: The overall facilities are complete, brand new, and clean, making for a great stay.

The soundproofing is terrible. I could hear every word from the room next door, and combined with inconsiderate neighbors who were laughing and cheering for a football game late into the night, I was woken up countless times. Seriously speechless 🤦🏻‍♀️. I booked this hotel thinking it was close to my child's dance competition, hoping to get some good rest, but I didn't get any at all. The hotel's facilities really need an upgrade.

The hotel is quite new and boasts good smart features. While the room is a bit small, it's perfectly adequate, offering great value for money in this location. It's nestled within the compound of China University of Geosciences, making it very quiet. Step outside, and you'll find plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. You can easily walk to Beijing Language and Culture University, China University of Geosciences, Wudaokou subway station, and a shopping center.

The room was very clean, just like in the pictures online. The TV was large, and casting to it was great for watching shows. The hotel staff were excellent; since there's no elevator, they carried our large luggage up to our room and helped us bring it down at checkout. They were very thoughtful.

Honestly, the service was really bad. When my partner came to the front desk at night, they kept asking which room we were in, especially that one woman, who questioned them like they were a criminal. Her service attitude was terrible. The bathroom in the room was leaking, and the soundproofing was a bit poor; we were woken up by noise early in the morning. I'd like to criticize that woman's awful service attitude again.
