Regent Beijing

The room was very clean and the service was excellent. The sanitation was good, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was very convenient. It's easy to get to Sanlitun, and there's a subway station just a two-minute walk away, making getting around a breeze. The front desk service was also very thoughtful and attentive.

Don't waste your money here, avoid at all costs! Avoid! Avoid! I booked a high-floor room with a large window by the bed, but upon arrival, I was 'upgraded' to a low-floor, dark suite. The bedroom didn't even have a window! There was no prior notification about this change whatsoever. If that's not deception, what is?! I was shocked when I entered the room; it was dusty everywhere, the corners were unbelievably dirty, and there was a pungent, musty smell that wouldn't go away even after airing it out for a long time. Is this Regent's standard of cleanliness?! Even more outrageous was the nighttime construction noise! At 11 PM on the night I checked in, I was sound asleep when I was suddenly woken up by a drilling noise. The noise lasted for almost half an hour, making my heart pound. I had to go to Peking Union Medical College Hospital the next day and desperately needed a good night's rest, but this completely ruined my sleep schedule. When I complained to the hotel, the staff's attitude was incredibly arrogant. They blurted out, 'The restaurant has to operate during the day, so construction can only happen at night,' completely disregarding guests' feelings. They promised to get back to me that day, but I waited all day and didn't even receive a call! I paid for a high-end hotel but received treatment worse than a guesthouse. The service was terrible, the hygiene was awful, and they arbitrarily changed my room type. Anyone who stays at this hotel will regret it!

This hotel, recommended by a blogger, is located right above Dengshikou Station on Metro Line 5. The lobby is very grand, and there were still some Christmas decorations up. The room was quite spacious, with a bathtub, and a single armchair next to the twin beds. The furniture was a dark tone, probably a bit old-fashioned. The room's AC couldn't be set to cool in winter; you could only set the fan to the lowest setting. Coming into the room from outside, it was really hot, which wasn't very comfortable. Everything else was perfectly fine. It's super convenient for visiting the Forbidden City, going to shopping malls, visiting Cai Yuanpei's former residence, and getting to the airport.

Overall, everything was pretty good. The staff were all quite competent and professional. Environment: Excellent Cleanliness: Spotless Facilities: Well-equipped It would be perfect if the air conditioning could be a bit more comfortable; the temperature was a little too low.

This was my second stay here. The hotel has an excellent location, making it very convenient to get to Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The hygiene is good, and the service is great. This time, I'd like to specially commend the breakfast staff for being very responsive. I'll definitely stay here again.

The Regent Beijing is perfectly located in Wangfujing, close to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the National Museum, Temple of Heaven, and Beihai Park, all accessible by foot or shared bike. The Dengshikou subway station is right outside the hotel, making travel by metro incredibly convenient. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our high-floor room offered views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Waking up to the sights along the central axis in the morning was incredibly pleasant, and we also enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening. The breakfast was also very generous, featuring a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, including some Beijing local snacks. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Beijing, especially if I'm exploring the central axis area.
