This is an older five-star hotel with a classic, old-money vibe. Overall, my stay was quite pleasant. Many hotels nowadays offer complimentary room upgrades, but the Kunlun Hotel maintains its traditional approach, sticking to the standard booking without any upgrades. However, I still give it a five-star rating. The bedding was comfortable, the room had a fresh air system, and the bathroom was spacious with a practical wet/dry separation. Located in the core Yansha area, it also offers excellent value for money. The surrounding area boasts a wide variety of high-quality dining options. The hotel's own restaurants are also excellent, with a diverse culinary selection including Chinese, Japanese, and Western cuisines, all of good quality. I truly hope these older, iconic Chinese hotels continue to thrive. I have a genuine fondness for them.

False advertising on room type! Terrible service! Deceiving consumers! I booked an 'Executive Deluxe River View Room' on Ctrip, and the pictures on Ctrip clearly showed a river view, with a window by the bathtub facing the river. Checked in at 1 PM. As soon as I got into the elevator, it jammed, wouldn't close properly, and was stuck for over a minute – absolutely terrifying. When I finally got to the room, the window overlooked a bare rooftop of a tall building, and the bathroom was cramped. Where was the lake view? And it wasn't even on an executive floor. I called the front desk to complain, and they showed absolutely no apology, just saying they'd check if there were any rooms available. So, was it overbooked? Yet, the room type was still showing as available on Ctrip for that day. I contacted Ctrip's Black Diamond customer service to communicate with the hotel. Around 2 PM, they said a room was ready. Turns out, it still wasn't the Executive River View Room I booked. The bedroom had a lake view, but the bathroom still had no window. And it wasn't on an executive floor. They even tried to sugarcoat it by saying they upgraded me to a 'Kunlun Club' room. A quick check showed it was only 20 RMB more, offered no extra benefits, wasn't an executive floor, and had the same falsely advertised bathroom situation. To top it off, there were still fake eyelashes stuck to the mirror in the room from the previous guest, fluttering there. I had a meeting at 3 PM, I was exhausted and couldn't deal with any more hassle. Shouldn't I report this false advertising and consumer deception to the Beijing Mayor's hotline? Perhaps my Ctrip Black Diamond status isn't good enough for this hotel. Good thing I only booked one night; I promptly switched hotels the next day.

Had a fantastic stay at the Kunlun Hotel, a classic five-star in Beijing! The views along the Liangma River are absolutely stunning. The lobby is elegant and grand, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The service was thoughtful and attentive. The revolving restaurant on the 29th floor offers breathtaking views. It's also super convenient for getting around, making it my top choice for business trips.

The front desk staff, especially Xiao Liu, was excellent! So excited about the cruise missile and all the big guys, I keep thinking about what time we'll arrive. The end of the year announcement storm surge is a no-go, haha, but the diopter is great! Front desk Xiao Liu was very good.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Beijing's embassy district and very close to Sanlitun Taikoo Li. The facilities are comprehensive, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. What really stood out was the excellent service.

Great location and good facilities. The front desk staff who checked us in was very professional and responsible, and our butler was always quick to respond. The room was comfortable, and the nearby Liangma River offers beautiful scenery.

We brought our kids to Beijing and stayed at Kunlun Hotel again. This time, a special thanks to You Zhenfei at the front desk. His service was incredibly warm and attentive. He helped us choose an ideal floor for the children and even upgraded our room for free. We felt right at home, which made our Beijing trip a very comfortable experience. 👍

A good 5 star hotel close to "things" as you can be in Beijing. Nothing is actually close. But a nice place to be while you are there. The restaurant in the 29th floor turns around like a clock and has a good view over a small part of Beijing. If you book a room in the exectutive floors you get a good breakfast in the 29th as well. Easy to get DiDi to pick you up. Both the japanese and the chinese restaurants in the 1st floor are top notch.

I forgot to take pictures, but it was really good, excellent in all aspects. Even though the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained. It's super convenient to go downstairs for a stroll along the Liangma River. I'll definitely be coming back often.

This is an older international hotel. The service and breakfast were both good, and my child enjoyed it too. The hotel is right by the Liangma River, making transportation very convenient.

## Amenities: The bedding and pillows, crucial for a good night's sleep, were completely odorless, and the mattress was decent. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; at least, I slept very well these past few days. The tap water seemed purified, tasting crisp and clean without any strange aftertaste. On the downside, there weren't enough USB ports, and all the sockets on the provided extension cord were broken. The hairdryer had very weak airflow, so if you have long hair, it's best to bring your own travel-sized one. ## Environment: The hotel is located near the Liangma River, not far from Yansha Shopping Mall. There are many Beijing specialty restaurants nearby that deliver, so you can essentially try all the famous ones, which compensates for the not-so-great breakfast buffet on the first floor. In the evening, you can also take a stroll in the riverside park nearby, which offers beautiful scenery. ## Hygiene: The room itself was incredibly clean and tidy, including the inside of the cabinets. ## Service: The front desk staff during my first check-in were very nice, warm, and attentive. The personalized butler service after check-in was excellent; every time I called with a request, the response was super fast and incredibly good. The room cleaning was surprisingly thorough; not only was it spotless, but even my messy belongings were organized neatly and aesthetically pleasingly. The staff quality is truly high. Overall, this stay was excellent, and I will definitely return.

It was okay. The hotel feels a bit old, and the bed was too soft. They should really update them; it wasn't very comfortable to sleep on.
