The hotel truly lives up to the photos on Ctrip – no discrepancies, no exaggerations, just genuinely good as pictured. As a returning guest, whenever I'm in Beijing, I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chongwenmen; it feels just like coming home. I won't rehash what's already displayed. I just want to highlight the hotel's unbeatable location. From here, you can bike to the Forbidden City in 10 minutes; take the subway to the National Museum in 10 minutes; or bike to the Temple of Heaven in 10 minutes. Besides enjoying the scenery and park, there are hidden gems of authentic Beijing cuisine around the Temple of Heaven, waiting for you to savor one by one. If you've eaten your fill, it's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the City Wall Park for a stroll, where you can enjoy flowers in spring, fruits in summer, and beautiful scenery in autumn and winter – all for free. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express is, in a word, 'perfect,' or even better, 'absolutely perfect.'

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Beijing. The location was convenient for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. Overall, a great choice for staying in Beijing, especially for travelers looking for a practical and comfortable base while exploring the city.

Facilities: Excellent, even has an air purifier. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: Super convenient for dining, accommodation, and transportation. Service: Attentive and thorough. There's a supermarket, mall, and various restaurants right downstairs, so you can eat, stay, and play without even leaving the building.

This is my second trip to Beijing this year, and I chose to stay at the Livefor hotel in Chongwenmen again with my son. I guess that makes me a repeat customer, right? 😁 Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Chongwenmen subway station, making getting around incredibly easy. There are malls right downstairs and across the street, so with a child, I don't have to venture far. Cleanliness is my top priority when choosing a hotel, which is why I've picked Livefor twice. Next up is the bedding, especially the pillows – they're just the right firmness, ensuring a really comfortable sleep. The soundproofing is also good; once the window is closed, you can't hear any outside noise, and it's very quiet at night. My son loved the mini-fridge in the room; he bought some drinks and cheese, and he really enjoyed that. The service was also excellent and thoughtful. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly and gentle, and they were always ready to help with any issues. All in all, the transportation, accommodation, and dining experiences were all great, offering good value for money. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

I came to Beijing for the Yue Tian concert again, and I stayed at the same hotel, Pentahotel, as my previous visit. The location is super convenient, with Nanluoguxiang, the Forbidden City, and Ditan Park all nearby. It's only about a 30-minute taxi ride to the Bird's Nest, which is great! The staff were very friendly and even helped me get the street-view room I wanted. Plus, food deliveries are brought up by a robot, which is really fast!

The room was quite spacious and offered great value for money. There are at least five large shopping centers nearby, plus a ton of street food options. It's super close to the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City, and there's a subway station nearby too. The front desk and kitchen staff were all fantastic; a big thank you for helping me with so many food deliveries! It was also really nice to be able to extend my stay until 2 PM, and the luggage storage was very convenient and secure.

The room was spacious and clean, featuring a sofa and floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views. The hotel itself exuded understated luxury and sophistication. The lobby bar is perfect for a casual get-together with friends. Its prime location within Beijing's inner ring road means excellent transport links, with the subway station just a short walk away. This will definitely be my top choice for future business trips.

Very conveniently located near restaurants and shopping and not very far from the forbidden city and parks in the city center. There’s a metro stop right outside the hotel too. The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly. Would love to stay here again!

The hygiene and overall environment were decent, and the view was okay. However, two things happened during my stay that were quite frustrating… The hotel's humidifier suddenly started leaking severely, like a waterfall cascading down the edge of the table. I called the front desk, and they said they would send someone to fix it. I waited for about seven or eight minutes, but no one showed up. During this time, the floor got completely soaked (p5p6). Finally, I called again to follow up, and the front desk sent a cleaning lady. She said it was because the person who filled it earlier didn't do it properly, and then the hotel just dropped the matter. Sunday, around 6 PM: The hotel and the convenience store are connected, and the door was open. After buying some things, I thought I'd enter the hotel through there, but found it blocked off by a cloth strip. Just then, a plump male staff member came over and told us off, saying we couldn't pass through there and hotel guests couldn't enter from that side, and we had to use another door and go around. We asked which door, and he sarcastically replied, “Don’t you know which door you came in from?” His whole demeanor was contemptuous, with that kind of expression “😒”! If we can't enter, couldn't he just say so nicely? For a five-star hotel, is this the kind of staff quality you have? And isn't he in the service industry? Why did he have to ask us if we knew, with that extremely sarcastic tone the whole time 🙄 It truly felt like I paid to suffer. I won't be staying here again…

I stayed at this hotel ten years ago. It's right at Exit H of Chongwenmen Subway Station, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Next door, you have New World Shopping Mall and a few other malls, so there are plenty of dining options. Even if you don't take the subway, it's a short bike ride to Tiananmen Square. Breakfast is decent, but the rooms really need a renovation; they're outdated. There's only one outlet by the bed, and it's loose, so fast chargers won't stay in. The bathroom door is also warped and hard to close. It definitely needs repairs. I was in room 918.

Great location, very convenient for getting around with the subway and buses nearby! Plenty of food options too. The interior is clean and tidy, and it's quiet and comfortable at night. Exceeded my expectations when booking, super satisfied!

I found a cockroach on my bed in the morning, which I had apparently crushed in my sleep, so I immediately went to take a shower! The light switch in the bathroom was also broken. Hygiene: Poor. Facilities: Broken switch.

The front desk staff were quite cold. The location is decent though, very convenient for getting around. It was also easy to order roast duck.

It took me a while to find this place on Trip.com. The family room is perfect for someone like me traveling with a child and who snores loudly. The suite with two bathrooms means I don't disturb the sleep of other family members. The location is excellent and easy to find, right next to the New World Department Store, so it's convenient to buy anything you need. It's also not far from the main square. The breakfast leans towards Western tastes; while it's not as extensive as other 5-star hotels, the price is quite reasonable.
