The hotel shows its age; old photos were even still hanging in the rooms. However, the service quality at hotels in Beijing is genuinely top-notch, far exceeding what you'd typically find in 4-star hotels elsewhere, easily reaching a 5-star standard. This truly deserves high praise. Being an older establishment, the bathroom was quite small, yet it still featured a rather useless bathtub, which might have been intended to cater to international guests. Personally, I believe it could be removed entirely to make the bathroom much more spacious. The location is extremely convenient: it's a 5-minute walk to the subway, and the China World Trade Center (Guomao) is right next door, just a 10-minute stroll away. The third picture is an exterior shot taken from the hotel room.

First time in Beijing, during the Spring Festival, it was too difficult to book, I booked 10 days in advance. It took a long time to choose when booking. The hotel is close to the subway, has windows, twin rooms, large area, very good, equipped with air purifiers, refrigerators, everything, and the service is also very enthusiastic. The decoration is a bit old-fashioned, and the towels and bathrobes are hard, but overall it's not bad. The surrounding shops are closed during the Spring Festival, and it's hard to find a place to eat, but there is a small supermarket that can solve the problem.

My family had some urgent business in Beijing, so I booked a stay for them. I just heard from them how wonderful the services at the Oriental Hotel were.
Service: On the day of their arrival, I accompanied them to check in. As soon as we entered, a doorman proactively opened the door for us, which immediately left a great first impression. At the front desk, two sweet, smiling ladies assisted us. They greeted us warmly and fulfilled all our requests perfectly. Before we left to visit the Yonghe Temple, they even offered complimentary luggage storage.
Environment: The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were struck by its grandeur, haha! It instantly felt like the price was worth it. The hotel is composed of three buildings from different eras. The celebrity garden and cafe in the back are incredibly photogenic. The 1918 Restaurant on the second floor offers reasonable prices, quite low by Beijing standards, and features authentic old Beijing cuisine.
Cleanliness: In the afternoon, we asked a housekeeping attendant to clean our room. When we returned, it was spotless and looked just as tidy as when we first checked in. This really highlights the difference between a large hotel and smaller ones; you can tell the hotel has very high standards for its environment.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Both the staff and the facilities exceeded our expectations. We will definitely choose Beijing Oriental Hotel again next time we visit!

The hotel is located in Xiangshan Park, with an excellent location. The hotel was designed by master I.M. Pei, and the style and details are amazing. Unfortunately, the maintenance work is not delicate enough, and some aspects have not been preserved. The hotel service is warm and thoughtful, but the facilities in the room I stayed in are a bit old, and the variety and taste of the breakfast are very average. The design and location of the hotel are really outstanding. Next time I come to climb Xiangshan, I will choose to stay here again.

Pros:
1. The hotel's location is very convenient. It's within the 2nd Ring Road, and you can see it right after exiting Chongwenmen subway station, making it easy to get anywhere.
2. There are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby, offering great convenience. There's even a Cantonese restaurant downstairs, which was incredibly welcome for someone from Guangdong (I ate there 3 times in 7 days, haha).
3. The family room wasn't huge, but it excelled in providing privacy. Inside was a normal bedroom, and the sofa bed outside could be opened up into a large bed. Closing the bedroom door effectively separated the two areas. Compared to family rooms with three single beds, this setup offered a much better experience.
4. The hotel service was good. They even gave us mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which tasted quite delicious.
Cons:
1. As it's an older hotel, the room facilities are a bit dated.
2. Some of the phones in the room were broken, making it difficult to reach the front desk at times.
Overall, I was quite satisfied. The price during the National Day holiday wasn't too expensive, making it a recommended choice for families traveling with parents.

The room wasn't big, but it was sufficient for one adult and one child. It had a window, and the air conditioning provided fresh air. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's very well-maintained. The staff were also very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Metro Lines 2 and 4, and all the popular *hutongs* are within 5-6 kilometers. They offer robot room service and complimentary laundry and drying services. The only downside was that the view from the room I booked wasn't great. I recommend asking about the room's orientation beforehand.

My stay at the Beijing Exhibition Center Hotel exceeded my expectations, and I just have to rave about it!
First off, the location is absolutely unbeatable. It's right next to the Beijing Exhibition Center, super close to the Zoo and Planetarium on foot. Plus, with Line 4 of the subway nearby, it's really convenient to get to attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. It's incredibly tourist-friendly.
While the room wasn't huge, it was spotlessly clean, the bedding was comfortable, and it was quiet at night, so I slept soundly. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and a full set of toiletries, showing great attention to detail.
What surprised me the most was the service. The front desk staff were quick and friendly during check-in, and they even proactively recommended local eateries and sightseeing routes. The housekeeping auntie was also incredibly diligent every day, tidying up my tossed-aside slippers and replenishing the bottled water – so thoughtful.
The breakfast at the restaurant wasn't spectacular in terms of variety, but the food was delicious, including some authentic Beijing snacks. It was a great way to start the day fully fueled.
The only minor drawback might be that some of the facilities feel a bit dated, but it didn't affect their use at all, and the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Beijing!
