I took my elders and children to Gubei Water Town for the weekend. I wanted to have a private bath, so I made a reservation at the only inn in Water Town that has a private bath. Since there were not many rooms available when I placed the order, I chose a deluxe kang room and a deluxe large kang room. Both rooms have private outdoor baths. The main difference is in size. The private hot spring pool in the high-end large Kang room is larger, and it is no problem for two adults and one child to bathe together. The private hot spring in the high-end Kang room is more suitable for an adult. The inn is located relatively inside the water town, closer to the Simatai Great Wall. You can see the beacon tower of the Simatai Great Wall from the inn’s yard. The inn is not too far from the drone show and water dance show, it takes about 10 minutes to walk there. The breakfast in the inn is divided into two types: advance reservation and self-service. You can scan the QR code at the store front desk to order omelettes, noodles, dumplings, etc. in advance. Salted duck eggs, bread slices, fruits, soy milk, etc. are self-service without placing an order. You can pick it up directly from the restaurant. The breakfast tastes pretty good and I feel comfortable eating. In addition, the beds in the inn are all kang beds, which are a bit hard. It was said that Hangu Villa had a higher star rating than Duanjia Courtyard, but I just booked the hotel because of the location of Duanjia Courtyard. When I arrived at Gubei Water The town has indeed closed the Duan Family Courtyard! I understand what's going on. The Duan Family Courtyard is not open at all. The Duan Family Courtyard is more famous than Hangu and has a better location than Hangu. He can't remove the Duan Family Courtyard house from Ctrip. When the time comes, he will Notify you to change to another hotel! There is nothing you can do if you are satisfied or dissatisfied. It is impossible to find a hotel with good value for money when the date is approaching. They just know this! The parking lot is a mess. When you enter the parking lot, you must emphasize that you have booked a hotel in the scenic spot, otherwise you will be told that it is super, super far, really super far! The room was good, fairly spacious. It had enough furniture and quite a few places to store things, a closet with a little document safe in it, etc. Close to Wtown. And you get a discount for the tickets (80yuan). Two floors only. The first one is pretty much the basement. So no view. The windows of the rooms on the second floor, which is in fact the ground floor, are looking at a brick wall and a path wich people take to get from the parking lot to the Wtown entrance. They'll be walking right infront of your balcony. But that didn't really bother us. No real cups or glasses in the room. They gave us 2 pairs of disposable cups. Weird. We were asked to eat in our room. I don't know why. But when you discover that something is missing, like sugar or salt, be ready to phone the front desk or go there and ask. And then wait... And wait. Which is an inconvenience. Breakfast is pretty basic and not very filling.

I really liked the hotel. Located on the street with food, registration is carried out at the neighboring hotel opposite, breakfast is also held there. The staff is very responsive, they helped us, signed us up for a spa (included in our stay), we went by bus, the spa pool is not on the street, as we thought, but several baths inside the hotel. Next to the hotel there are thermal foot baths where you can sit and warm up in the evening. The linen in the room is snow-white, the mattress/pillows are comfortable.
