Clayton Hotel Belfast

Upon arriving to the hotel we were greeted by lovely staff. But that is about the only thing that went right. The room number had a lot of dust, which means that it was either not vacuumed properly or even at all. Furthermore, we stayed in the hotel for five nights, and not a single time were our bedsheets changed. Which is very upsetting, I wash myself every day and then have to go to a dusty bed. On the topic of washing — our bathroom had rust (or mold?) which didn’t make it very pleasant to have a full on shower and relax. The decorative tile in the bath was cracked or fell off the wall, and under it it was quite rusty. In conclusion we’re very upset that we had booked a four-star hotel and then were treated like this. We get that not everyone can afford a renovation of the bathroom, but changing bedsheets is surely mandatory with a frequency of less than five days. We will be attaching the photos proving this review.

This is my second stay at the Clayton Hotel, and overall, the experience was pleasant and the accommodations were comfortable. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the hotel offers good value for an overnight stay. However, I observed that the reception staff could benefit from being more attentive and proactive in assisting guests. On several occasions, it seemed that guests were not immediately acknowledged, which can leave an impression of inattentiveness — particularly for international visitors. My previous stay was three years ago, and I was hoping to see some improvement in this area. Consistent professionalism and warm hospitality at the front desk would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. I look forward to seeing positive changes on my next visit.

Location is perfect for Gatwick flights. The elevation is a joke and its at times confusing
