Our family group of four adults stayed two nights in The Stables Cottage. The cottage was accurately described on the website and very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for home cooking, and electric blankets on the beds were welcome for one chilly night. We pre-ordered a Drinks and Nibbles platter which was more than ample, along with the bottle of bubbly included in our rate. Breakfast provisions were very satisfactory - bread, bacon, eggs, yoghurt, juice, milk and fruit. The cottage has a lovely front verandah overlooking a delightful quiet garden. The only minor drawback was bathroom plumbing was noisy in the front bedroom. Despite this, I would recommend The Stables at Clarendon Cottages.

Can not rate this place and experience high enough. Truely felt like being transported to another world (think living your best Beatrix Potter life) despite only being an hour away from the city. 🌸 🦜🐿️🌹🍃 The decadent interiors of the suite amongst the most beautiful grounds/garden made for the most perfect stay. The jacuzzi style tub was an absolute treat to soak in with the lounge TV perfectly within viewing, along with the log fireplace! 🔥🪵 The four poster bed was also beyond luxurious with the most breath taking views from the window. Arina & Alex were wonderful hosts providing a fully stocked fridge (ingredients for multiple hearty farm breakfasts - eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, yoghurt, muesli, fresh orange juice, coffee/tea) along with even arriving to a freshly baked loaf of bread (still hot with butter)! 🍞 There was even mini ice-creams in the freezer. The antipasto board I’d ordered as an extra treat was also 10/10. They’d thought of everything and the place was impeccably clean. I feel so inspired after staying at such a beautiful place to continue to replicate as many of the awe inspiring touches in both my home and routine from interior/planting inspiration to self care. We had booked a table of 14 at the FTG Hotel. We had been there several times before, so we knew what to expect. Previously, the food and the service was very good which made for a very happy lunch. However, this time was quite the opposite. They had cut down on the dishes that were standard on all previous occasions. No baked salmon, no potato bake, no cauliflower/broccoli gratin, no caesar salad, no bread & butter pudding. These are the only dishes that I noticed but there were probably more. Not only had they cut back on the assortment, they had also cut back on the quantities displayed. There was nobody carving the meat so was required to ask for assistance. There were no vegetables which was requested and needed to wait while they were being cooked. Others needed to ask for the apple crumble. But the final straw was that there was no custard, again needed to be requested. The kitchen assistant came out with a supermarket carton of cold custard and poured it into the container (which is normally contained with heated custard). I did speak to the manager Jackie expressing my disappointment as we were used to better. She immediately went on the defense advising me of the learners in the kitchen & the staff shortages, telling me this is what I would expect from supermarkets, chemists and the like, which is totally irrelevent but no apology. If I was being served in an A la' carte restaurant, yes of course I would be expected to wait, but on delivery of my meal I would expect everything that I ordered. This is a buffet, where one helps themselves, so one would expect the food to be there to serve yourself with. I can only put this down to a disorganised mess and another visit would be out of the question, and will be taking our custom elsewhere.

Excellent location. The service is fine. The room was very clean and tidy. I would like to use this hotel again.

The apartment is right next to the main road, the location is very good, opposite the gas station and 711, there are a lot of places to eat on the left side of the door, we packed up the Domino's pizza back to the room to eat, the main road opposite the big supermarket woolworths is very convenient. The layout of the room is good, the two bedrooms are very comfortable, the landlord is very welcoming, and the parking is convenient and free. We went to the small train the next day, so I chose here. It is so convenient to drive for ten minutes. I would recommend friends to have a chance to live.
