Best Time Inn Hotel - Car Rental

Can you say “No tell, motel?” It’s definitely in my vocabulary after a night at Best Time Inn Hotel. My husband booked it through his AmEx (assuming they did some sort of checks on properties they recommend) and saw the place had 3.6 stars on TripAdvisor. I’m not sure who was rating it because they certainly aren’t the type of people I hang with. We noticed red flags as we checked in reading two (yes, two!) signs saying there would be not refunds—if you pay for the room, it’s yours. The check-in reminded me of a prison entryway with guards/the receptionist sitting behind what looked like bulletproof glass. Then, we reached the room. Yes, the signs were warranted. Look at the attached pictures. Here’s a fun drinking activity for you and your friends—hold up the pictures and ask: “How many code violations can you find in one picture?” Note: I travel all over the world, usually staying in hostels/refugios. This was one of the few places that disgusted me and made me feel unsafe.

All off the above, very low class, I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone with standards it smells and it was just a room with a very old bathroom and toilet poorly painted, I had to ask for a mini refrigerator and for the rooms to be cleaned for my 10 day stay, I think they’re used to renting it out for a few hours a night.

I've never stayed at a hotel that rented by the hour before.

This is likely the worst place I have ever stayed in. We needed a room as flights cancelled and airline did not help out and no other rooms in Belize city. This hotel is I would think best rented by the hour for activities other than accommodation

Adventurous travellers only Below standard hotel in a very shady area, the couple that owns it are super accommodating though. But only recommend to “adventurous” travellers.

WARNING. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL THIS IS A *******. The rooms are extremely dirty, there is no keys for the room, the lock on the door doesn't work and in some rooms you have mirrors on top of the bed, and as you can imagine it was noisy.
