Albergo Silvio

The view was really stunning that I’ve never seen before I went in second week of July in Bellagio still cool with 13 degrees at night and max 24 degrees at day that’s awesome weather however distance from hotel to center of Bellagio is quite far taking a walk around 20 minutes but no problems for someone who likes walking like me, enjoy staying this hotel and be happy with surroundings in Bellagio lake como 😊

Beautiful restaurant for breakfast in the hotel. View is breathtaking. The view right outside the hotel is amazing too. Location is alright. Thing to note is there is no aircon although they did leave a fan in the room. Weather outside was 14-16degrees but would still prefer if there was aircon as advertised.

Nice hotel. A bit far from the town by walk (1.5km.) staff are nice. They explain and recommend everything for us to make a tour or restaurants. Room quit small especially bathroom.

Very far from the city. But good price

A welcoming and quiet hotel away from the madding crowds of downtown Bellagio. It’s a pleasant twenty minute walk into town and the return journey hastens you to this peaceful haven on the edge of the town. We had a lovely room with balcony and a fine view of the lake. Breakfast was very generous and not all sweetie_sweetie as in some places.

We have visited this restaurant with rooms over the last 15 years primarily for the wonderful fish restaurant. We knew the rooms were small and traditional but had fabulous views of lake Como. I booked the two nights directly with the website. We arrived in extremely hot weather to be told the restaurant had closed down and that we would need to walk the 20 minutes down into Bellagio. We were extremely disappointed as it was not clear from the website that this restaurant was no longer operating. The walk into Bellagio is wonderful if you go through villa Melzi (at a charge) but not when on the busy road and at night the villa route is closed. The rooms had been given a makeover and 'modernize ' Gone were the traditional fixtures and fittings to be replaced by flat pack furniture, a hanging rail and a table (no room for a chair) . The dining room provided snacks and drinks for a couple of hours a day but these were very limited. Gone was the elegant dining room which had white table cloths and beautiful furniture to be replaced by basic plastic chairs and tables! For people who have stayed and dined in Silvio's in the past our advice would be to carry out due diligence to ensure it meets your expectations. It is such a shame that they have changed this beautiful hotel as it was one of our favourite places. The staff were extremely apologetic but this did not make up for the serious let down.

I cannot say enough great things about the service we received from the staff at Hotel Silvio in Bellagio Italy. We arrived after hours after I had sustained a bad injury to my head and ankle earlier in the day that required emergency room treatment. We were greeted kindly by reception who helped us to our room on the ground floor and made sure we got something to eat after a long, difficult day. From then on, the care and concern from the entire staff was heart warming. These are truly warm people who treated us like family. We had a balcony room with a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding area. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful spot, just a short walk away from the hustle and many visitors in Bellagio Centrale, this is the perfect spot for you. I highly recommend this hotel and am forever grateful for the experience we had. They made my unfortunate situation as pleasant as possible.
