Colina del Paraiso

I have very mixed feelings about my time here. It is certainly not a 4 star complex. The pools are absolutely filthy. I don’t see them being filtered at all. Once throughout the day I seen someone come along with a net and try to clean off debris on top! Although the temperature of the pool is beautiful and warm and you can stay in for hours you can’t neglect to comment on the filth. We had a penthouse apar**ent which was really nice and comfortable however in need of a deep clean. We found packets of medication behind the sofa obviously left behind from a previous guest which is very dangerous as we had toddlers who are into everything Everywhere is very dated. I cut my feet on broken tiles in the roof top pool. The balcony’s are in desperate need of being power washed they are filthy. They did not inform us that the children’s playground had been ripped out and the kids club would not be running this season so there is absolutely nothing for children other than the filthy pool. You definitely need a car to get anywhere but they do advise you of this on their website! I’m very disappointed that we weren’t notified about the playground and kids club. We are still here as we have booked for 3 weeks. There is construction work going on so you will be woken at about 8am every morning by trucks and diggers. So the good points are that the staff are very friendly and polite. Any issue you have the reception will ensure that it will be rectified very quickly. The scenery and location are absolutely amazing! The air con is very effective so you will not be uncomfortable in your rooms There is plenty of hot water to run all 3 bathrooms so we never had a cold bath or shower The kitchens are very well equipped the beds are hard but I found that comfortable. Plenty of channels on the tv. Pizza from the pool bar is pricey but delicious. We are enjoying our time here but probably would have booked a different complex I’d we were made aware of the playground and kids club situation.

Just returned after staying here for 11 nights in a 3 bedroom townhouse. Check in was efficient property was spotlessly clean however some things not working such as shower head and broken sunbed once these were reported they were sorted out within minutes 👍 ate at restaurant a couple of nights which was fine staff friendly and food good however think they more themed nights could be offered to make this more appealing travelled to estepona, marbella and benahavis all worth a visit best beaches found in estepona. Bahia Park water park is also a good day out. Would return but only to stay in penthouse apar**ent out of peak season as can be quite noisy in and outside of townhouses.

Just returned from a 14 night stay in one of the Penthouses. We stayed 10 years ago and it's literally stayed the same! No improvements at all. Good: All staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Spacious roof terrace. Nice positioned restaurant serving good food (although from a small menu) Bad: Our private plunge pool, was dirty. The decor, particularly outside needs a lot of TLC. Disappointing as we were expecting it to have been refreshed after covid. Kitchen was ill equipped and we were provided with 1 tea towel between 6 of us for 2 weeks! Only one pillow each and no spare as is usual in most places. Nothing available on arrival such as water or bread, which should be standard in the penthouse. It's marketed to be a cut above the other accomodation. There was only 4 lounge chairs to sit on and they were very uncomfortable. There really is nothing around the complex for a few miles and a car is essential for restaurants, shopping and beaches. Ugly: The swimming pools were really dirty and off-putting! This complex has the potential to be so nice and the Penthouses should be made much more comfortable with touches of luxury such as a welcome pack, dressing gowns, upmarket toiletries and beach towels. Spare bedding should be provided and maybe T.V's in all the bedrooms. Perhaps even a mini bar!

We have just returned from an eleven day stay in a penthouse with hot tub. The penthouse was excellent it was like home from home which was a great advantage as we were with family including our seven month old grandson. We stayed half board which included continental breakfast and a three course meal each evening. The evening meal was different ever evening and had plenty of choice. The only complaint would be that on the Saturday evening it was advertised as BBQ and live music but there wasn't a BBQ it was food off the menu which was a little disappointing but the live music were very good. The complex itself was very good with three pools and a baby pool one of the pools had a bar and the food was good quality. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble We didn't hire a car which if we returned would hire one for a couple of days as the taxis were quite expensive. All in all we had a great family holiday which I would recommend to family. and friends

We found it to be a perfect accomodation with, in our case, a jacuzzi on the roof! Great staff, the restaurant is super (we had breakfast included and that's a real plus!!) and if anything is not 'great' speak to the staff and they will really (do everything they possibly can to) fix it. You will need a car to get to the beach, get some grocceries or get around, but this will only expand your possibilities in this great area of Spain. We highly recommend this holiday-site!!

Stayed in 608 from 25/6 to 2/7. Spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything you might need. Comfy bed. Absolutely awesome shower lol. Lovely view from the patio/balcony down the valley to the sea and with view to The Rock of Gibraltar. Great staff. Easy check in, even though it was past midnight. Easy and pleasant to deal with. Can't fault them at all. Thank you for a lovely stay. Enjoyed it so much, we're staying again in October!

Absolutely fabulous. Late review as it didn't post last time. Staff are super helpful, apar**ent was just perfect. You do need a car but do not let that put you off. Just the most relaxing holiday you can get. Oh and BTW After a tired day the restaurant take away is just the best

We travelled here 2 adults and 2 kids (7&9) and had a fantastic 5 night stay! All staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we checked in throughout our entire stay and the place itself offers absolutely amazing value for money. We stayed in a 3 bed townhouse with jacuzzi on rooftop and what a lovely place this was. Very easy to find using sat nav took about 50 minutes from Malaga airport. Townhouse - massive - very clean, fully equipped kitchen(including washing machine and dishwasher) 3 outdoor seating areas including the amazing rooftop which had jacuzzi, sunbeds, fridge and incredible views. Beds very comfy, whirlpool bath, 3 showers, 4 toilets and great air con. English channels on tv too a big bonus with kids. The views from the rooftop were incredible loved sitting with a glass of wine watching the sunset over the mountains. Plenty of bath Towels included for our stay and pool towels for hire at 10 euros deposit at reception each which you get back when handing towels back. Pool table and fussball table up at reception only 1euro great for entertaining my son! We hired a basketball a few times which was great also noticed lots hiring tennis sets all having lots of fun all very clean well maintained courts. When you hire equipment you just leave a deposit which you get back when taking back hired equipment. Parking direct outside your townhouse made it so much easier unpacking. There’s a Lidl and mercadona literally 5 mins drive away to stock up and benahavis (which is stunning) or estepona only 10 mins away offering a vast selection of bars and restaurants really was a perfect location though you absolutely do need a hire car if you plan to go out and about and explore. We ate at the restaurant for 2 nights and both times the service, food and view were great. Pools all clean and middle one was absolutely ideal for our kids age all watched by lifeguards too. Kids club was a little basic but my daughter absolutely loved it so went every morning session for 2.5 hours giving us time to play basketball with our son and time to relax on the terrace with our breakfast too. This place offers such a relaxing break and is close access to lots of places to visit. We will be back next year for a longer stay and highly recommend to any families who want a relaxing break away. Thanks for a lovely stay 🙂

This is our 4th time staying in Colina del Paraiso and it's in bad need of updating, paint work is chipping, its tired looking. The pools didn't feel very clean so I left them. The blankets in the rooms were dirty and this was disappointing, I pulled it out the first might to use it but had to leave it be as it was covered in suspicious stains. The jacuzzi had lots of dirt floating around and this put us off using it, and we paid extra so we could have access to it. The houses are well kitted out but we did have to ask for some extra utensils, however the cost! It has sky rocketed and I dont believe it is worth it. We wont be back because for this cost I was expecting lots of upgrading to have been completed during lockdown. The cost of our town house for 7 nights was €1,113 this week when it was €348 for 6 nights in 2019 & €456 in 2018 for 2018 with similar paid in year before that. I understand the cost of things have gone up but not a 174% increase. The website was advertising a sale but the prices did not change from what was paid when reviewed so clickbait!
