My compatriots, don’t be fooled! Never book this hotel!
This is not the 7-figure area, and the sea you see is not what you imagined the Caribbean to look like. HYATT ZIVA, you can see the jelly-colored sea. This one with the suffix rivera is totally terrible!
Worse than bad, the moment I stepped through the hotel door, I knew I had been cheated.
As soon as I entered the room, I collapsed.
I checked with Ctrip customer service and found out that this is real HYATT, but it is indeed a black shop!
Two rooms, four people had all-inclusive meals, and the next morning, three had diarrhea!
After paying for the room for three days, I gave up the last night and ran away early. Fortunately, Ctrip paid for one night's room.

This is our second Hyatt Ziva property we've visited and it was great. I brought my 11 year old son to see the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. He loved the waterslides at the children's pools. The food options were good. We ate at the Italian, Mexican and Asian restaurants (reservation only req for hibachi table.) The evening entertainment was really nice and interactive.
For some strange reason the main restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner was only open for breakfast.
I didnt like the aggressiveness by employees to take tours to view other properties.
Over-all we had a great stay, would revisit this property and recommend others.

its dated. not much of a beach to hang out. The Japanese and the Italian restaurant is a waste. Outdoor restaurants have good food. Staff did not explain things well when we checked in, not even the guide how to get to the room. Night life is so lame.

Several guest including self thought we were staying at Hyatt Ziva we asked to transfer reservation and pay difference and they didn’t even consider an option went strait to selling time share
We asked for shuttle there for day pass and they refused as well
The property was u def construction in several area
When it rained more places closed and other options were not open

Overall, I thought the hotel itself was very nice. It was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the variety of restaurants. Although there is no supper buffet as advertised you have to do all sit down dinner and they do not take reservations. The food was excellent. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in January many days were rainy and cloudy. I was disappointed at the lack of indoor activities for our stay being there were entire rain days. The resort had several pools many were not well kept they had a foul odor as though they don't use chlorine or maybe it was all the rain. They did have a large kids waterpark and play area. I have stayed at a few other resorts in the Cancun area and wouldn't return here. Puerto Morales has unfortunately been hit by severe storms and the beaches are in very poor condition. We couldn't even walk the beach as the water is up against the walls of nearby resorts that have been abandoned the water and shores are rocky and unsafe. The Unfortunate thing is the resort advertises a beautiful beach. If you are looking for beautiful water and nice beaches. I would go farther south to playa del carmen. If you're looking for a Economic resort with good food and relaxing time this is for you if you are looking for a very entertaining atmosphere with lots of people and activities go somewhere else.

This property was previously known as Secrets Silversands. They’ve done a wonderful job remodeling the resort and opening as the family friendly Hyatt Ziva.

It was pretty nice , as far as the food it wasn’t to great but everything else was nice and relaxing … it is pretty far from everything so expect to pay a lot for transportation

Food is not good at all, staff is looking at you at the restraints mainly waiting for you to leave. Poor service. Tiny rooms. Hyatt Ziva in CANCUN is completely opposite - try one ! I would not recommend this property for the money we paid.
