Apartment Hotel YAEZAKI

Highly recommended! Right in front of the beach and right next to the Beppu Tower, Don Quijote, and the department store. It's hard to imagine finding a better location in Beppu than this. The parking lot is also huge.

The front desk staff spoke fluent English. There's a Don Quijote shopping center right next door, and a large supermarket nearby. The room had a 2-in-1 washer-dryer. There were plenty of parking spaces. Although there's a hot spring on the rooftop, it's always very crowded. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed was dirty with hair and what looked like food crumbs. Also, someone brought a smartphone into the public bath and was using it in the bathtub, which was quite unsettling.

This trip included 1 night in Fukuoka, 3 nights in Beppu, and 2 nights in Kumamoto. Among them, this hotel in Beppu was the most satisfying in terms of room space and price. The room had a washing machine, microwave, and dishes. There's a coin-operated dryer downstairs, which was a lifesaver on rainy days as I didn't have to worry about drying clothes. Don Quijote is right next door, making shopping very convenient. On the 11th floor, there's a free open-air hot spring bath, which really helped to soothe away travel fatigue. I stayed in Beppu for 3 nights, mainly to visit Yufuin and the Hells of Beppu. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Beppu Station West Exit. Taking the Kame-no-i Bus No. 36 to Yufuin was very convenient, taking about 50 minutes, and the scenery along the way was also quite nice. Not far from the hotel entrance is the Beppu Tower bus stop, which is also very convenient for getting to the Hells of Beppu. I recommend buying the Kame-no-i Bus 2-day pass for 2800 yen, which is a good value for round trips to Yufuin and the Hells.

I've stayed here several times, but this was my first time having breakfast. For 1100 yen per person, the variety and deliciousness of the food were a great value. The curry with generous chunks of Wagyu beef was truly exquisite, and I highly recommend trying it. I'll definitely add breakfast to my next stay. Thank you!

This hotel has it all, even a water filter for drinking water, not to mention a whole box of laundry detergent for washing clothes, and a drying rack on the balcony. On the first floor, there's a lobby with a variety of free drinks. The breakfast on the top floor is also incredibly rich, costing about 250 NTD per person. The curry rice, miso soup, tamagoyaki, and side dishes are abundant. We even ordered a grilled meat set meal for dinner, which was luxurious and affordable. I honestly suspect the owner doesn't care about costs, just wants guests to enjoy themselves. There are also parking spaces at the entrance. The rooftop restaurant offers over a 250-degree view of the beach, ocean, and nightscape, which is absolutely beautiful. Nearby, you can take a walk along the beach and enjoy Beppu Onsen. The Beppu Observation Deck at night is also stunning, and it's more than just a traditional observation deck: * 17F: Observation deck, observation deck cafe, light installations, Beppu Tower Shrine * 16F: Observation deck, Galaxy Walk, and other illuminated spaces * 5F: Sky & Light Terrace, mid-level observation deck, also with BBQ/Sauna facilities * 4F: Karaoke * 2F: Beppu Art Museum * 1F: Restaurant CREOLE CAFE

Having a kitchen is a huge plus (knives, pots, a great fridge, even a water filter and microwave are provided). The location is unbeatable, right next to Don Quijote (though not open 24/7), and Beppu Tower is just a short walk away. Opened in 2026, so all the facilities are brand new. You can use the public bath for free from 10 PM to 8 AM (other times require a paid reservation). Parking is 500 JPY per night. The biggest drawback is that there's no room key; it's a keypad lock for the room door (and the card with the door password is laminated and reused!). This means previous guests know the room password. If you're a woman traveling alone, be cautious. Also, the main entrance opens outwards, so even if you block the door with a chair or luggage, it won't prevent someone from entering through the main door.

The space was large enough for a big family, with a fully equipped kitchen. The large public bath and simple breakfast were also great. Right next door was a Don Quijote that was open until 2 AM, so we could easily get snacks to dinner. If I visit Beppu again, I would love to stay here.

This is a new service apartment where you can cook. It's affordable and great value for money, right next to Don Quijote, perfect for a shopping spree. The most recommended hotel in Beppu! The Hells of Beppu are genuinely good and worth visiting, remember to buy the two-day bus pass!
