Beppu Hostel U&T Reviews

Located in Beppu, the surrounding amenities are convenient. Don Quijote is right behind, and it's very close to Beppu Tower. There are also many great restaurants nearby. The room space is excellent too. I hope to have a chance to visit again.

Very comfortable! I could relax here as if I were at home, with access to manga and free drinks. The hotel was quiet and clean, and it's in a super convenient location with a convenience store and supermarket nearby. There are no pajamas provided, but all the other amenities were more than sufficient. The price was also very reasonable. I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Beppu.

They offer paid parking, which is convenient if you're driving. There's a public area with a game zone, comics, and self-service drinks. The hotel's location is pretty good too, with department stores and drugstores nearby!

Nice bed with phone charger point and smooth light. Complimentary drink station is wonderful. They also provide kitchen section with microwave, fridge, cutlery and utensils for guest use. Parking is available at 500 yen per day. Simple but plenty.

Beppu Hostel U&T is outstanding in many areas of the hospitality industry. The premise is squeaky clean, the Japanese style beds were comfy & snug. The staff were helpful, courteous & we noted went about their chores unintrusively. The coin-operated washing machines & driers were easy to operate. We were pleasantly surprised by the peaceful atmosphere in the common area & astonishing array of beverages provided free for guests. We liked it's central location just across from Beppu Tower & short walking distance to stores & cafes. Highly recommended!

We stayed as a group of 4, and the room was spacious enough for us. The location is very convenient, with a mall, shops, and restaurants all within walking distance. The hotel offers parking for 500 yen per day, and the room rate is very affordable. There are also free drinks available on the ground floor, as well as coin-operated laundry and dryers. One downside is that there is no elevator, but the staff are kind and helpful with carrying luggage. The walls are a bit thin, so you may hear some noise from neighboring rooms, but we were fortunate that other guests were respectful, so it wasn’t a big issue.

Check-in was delayed, but the staff were very understanding and waited for us to arrive. 👍

The room was clean, and the bathroom facilities were also spotless. It was convenient to have a kitchen and free drinks in the common area.

Cozy place to stay that's fuss free. Apartment was big as well, good for families :)

Pros: The hostel is clean and provides a drink bar with hot and cold beverages including soups. They also have mangas and a few video games provided. The room is spacious and comfortable. Cons: The location is about 10-15 mins from the Beppu station, but close to Donki Beppu and convenient stores. However, they DO NOT support early or late check-in. They asked us to leave the baggage unchecked and unattended when we arrived early. The point where we disappointed was the notification of the check-in time. Most hotels/ hostels in Japan support early or late check-in but seems like they don’t have enough staff for that. We didn’t realize the the check-in is required by 8pm. They called us around 7:10pm-ish to inform the check-in deadline time. And we tried to negotiate cuz we was very far away and was in the mountains. We called them back cuz we tried to speed up but it almost caused an accident. The answer we got was NOT SUPPORTIVE. They only said customers had to read the check-in time on the website (Trip.com) and they couldn’t wait even we said we would be late for 5-10 minutes at the fastest pace of our journey. Luckily, there was a group of customers who was checking when we arrived (20:05 pm) so we could check-in.

Good hotel, clean and all items were provided completely included drinks. Parking is fee. I love it.
