Al San Lorenzo

Really nice hotel in a great location and a great little town

We could not have chosen a better place to live in Bergamo. San Lorenzo B&B is located slightly back from the main street, so it is very quiet. The room was incredibly beautifully decorated and very clean. The entire place was cozy, and a lot of thought had been given to many small details, which made a big difference (e.g. access to very good coffee, nice wine glasses that could be borrowed). We had really good communication with Giovanna both before the arrival and at the warm welcome, where we also appreciated the possibility of early check-in. Giovanna is the perfect hostess who knows a lot about the area and wants to ensure that you feel at home at her B&B. We certainly felt at home and would be happy to return. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

This is a great hidden gem. Came here last February but wanted to experience in warmer weather so booked here and was pleased with the outcome. There is everything you could want. The room was excellent with everything you could want. We met the host and we had a great conversation with her giving us places to visit and eat. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are visiting Bergamo then check it out. You will not be disappointed. Ciao.

Great location on the heart of the Città Alta in Bergamo. Cute as a button! Would stay here again next time we go to Bergamo! Air conditioning was a lifesaver during this heat wave! Giovanna was a very good cimmunicator and responded quickly!

The room was as clean as could be, spotless! My wife used to work in 5 star hotels in the cleaning department, she knows exactly where to look and she was amazed about the quality, good job ladies! The beds where great, conformable, you can make your own coffee/tea in the room, there are some croissants, biscuits and water too. In the hall you can get more coffee/tea, croissants, biscuits and sweets, water and milk in the fridge, everything taken care off. It was very hot in Bergamo when we where there but the airco was working like a charm, shower was very nice and the location in the middle off the town is great! There is so much to see in Citta Alta, so much history, we here there for 2 days but should have stayed longer, go and visit and stay with Giovanna, you will love it!

Perfect place to stay. Host’s communication excellent and went up and above to help eg, allowing bags to be left prior to check in and organising taxi transport for early morning flight. Room was spotlessly clean and well presented. Thought obviously put into contents including furnishings and provision of kettle, water , tea/coffee. The balcony in the room overlooking the courtyard was a delight. Al San Lorenzo is right in the heart of Bergamo. All attractions, eating places and transport on the doorstep and in walking distance. Al San Lorenzo and the generosity shown by the helpful and thoughtful host were a primary part of a lovely stay. Grazia Mille. Absolutely recommend.

Excellent location just 2 minutes from Piazza Vecchia with all its cafes and gelateria. Very near to the cathedral. Excellent tips and recommendations from the lovely host Giovanna! Would highly advise that you stay here if its available. Its very easy to get to. Just a short walk from the funicular to the citta bassa, with lots of lovely little shops and restaurants nearby. Would stay again!

A beautiful room with balcony. We spent a very comfortable 5 nights at at San Lorenzo and are happy to recommend.

Easy remote check in with detailed instructions on access. Located in the heart of Citta Alta and all the action, yet peaceful and quiet in the room. Highly recommended!
