This is all post ownership change and renovations (April 2026) I stayed Friday - Monday. You will NOT find a better value for this area. I give this small but lovingly maintained place a 5 star for the following reasons: * CLEAN-5 star for this category for sure. The room and grounds are very well maintained. The room smelled surprisingly fresh and clean. I was honestly not expecting it due to the place being, what seemed to be an older business in the area. * ROOM-spacious, an extreme number of electrical outlets for devices; even those built into the headboard and nightstands. There's a taller sized mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and adequate supplies of accompaniments for hot beverages. There's a small garment rack on the wall for hanging clothes and a spacious bathroom with vent and heater. * Smoking areas-2x gazebos, one at either end of the motel to prevent the smoke smell from travelling into the building with 2x benches at each as well as waste containers for the area. * Safety-I'm a solo female traveler and slept like a baby. The property is very well lit, and each room secured by fob entry. I'm hoping there will be a volleyball pit in the future. I will be a repeat customer and all of my out of town guests will stay here. I'm a Turners Falls local and my roommate contracted the flu. I had to pack up and stay elsewhere to not catch it over my birthday weekend. The Windmill Motel was a true lifesaver for me, and incredibly affordable for the unexpected situation. I believe travelers will love this as well, just nestled 2 and 1/2ish miles off of I91.
