We stayed in this hotel 3 years ago which is why we went back but oh my, what a drastic change! It’s become very shabby. They don’t serve breakfast anymore. There are no reception phones in the rooms as, to be honest, there is no one on reception after 5. The restaurant closes as well as the bar. What’s that all about? The room was clean but stains on the carpet, walls grubby. The only toiletries was an all in one bottle of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. No face cloths. Had a strange man climb up onto the roof and attempt to get into my room. (Not the hotels fault but none the less it was scary) I find it hard to say anything nice really, it was like you are in the hotel and they just shut up shop and leave you all night until morning. It was all very bizarre. Carpets throughout were worn and dated. Faulty towers comes to mind. So no, I would definitely steer clear of this Hotel. Consequently I will not go back there.

What a very strange place. It was as if everyone had up and left half way through a renovation. Checking in was extraordinary… we told the receptionist that we were there to check in, he looked up, no response, no greeting, no welcome. We had to ask to register our car for parking, then when we asked if we could check in a bit early to be told that our room was ready, but we would be charged £20 to drop our bags off. The rooms are tired, outdated and the whole place is tatty, way past it’s sell by. The radiators were hot all night and dangerously boiling water came out of both taps in the bathroom. We would have reported it to reception if there had been any one there. We won’t be going back and we definitely will not be recommending it to any friends.

I stayed at this hotel a few years back and loved it so much so we decided to go again and it has since changed management and I have to say the place has gone downhill, not only has it lost its charm and character, it needs alot of work doing to bring it up to a standard that people will love, Rooms are dirty, cobwebs everywhere so the cleaner isn't doing her job right, things are broken, the tiles on the bathroom were missing pieces and some broken, to the point it was dangerous, something was leaking from the ceiling into the bath so it looked like someone had passed urine in the bath, the Internet is poor, they have smart tvs in rooms but you can't access the Internet to even watch anything, there was only light bites to eat when we stayed which was poor as the items we wanted wasn't available.. I'd be embarrassed if I was the manager running this place, no care and attention and the prices don't reflect the low quality your getting so I'd recommend people staying in the bicester area to look elsewhere.. Clearly just a money grab now

Out with friends and wanted somewhere cosy to sit for a few drinks. Hadn’t been to the kings arms in a while and wanted to give it a try. Greeted by the lovely bar man Josh who was entertaining, attentive and gave us a laugh. Drinks were reasonable although you needed to have some Baileys in (after all is it Chris**as 😉). I’d come back again definitely!!

A group of 5 of us had booked a Chris**as meal and had paid our deposit and then the balance, as requested by 1 December. Booked for 8 pm and received an email confirming our booking at 6pm. I rang to pay the balance and spoke to the manager who asked me if I could call back later as she was busy! Didn’t offer to call me back. The meal wasn’t brilliant. Moises two starters but hastily rectified their mistake. Very overly salty gravy and over done stuffing. When asking for our drinks bill we were presented with the full bill for the meal also. The manager claimed that the payment has not gone through their Epos system even though it showed on my banking app. We were told that if we didn’t pay that “the money will be docked from our wages”. The manager totally lacked any customer service skills and could really do with a refresher course. No apology. The young waiter, however, was amazing and really ought to be put in charge. I have issued a charge back on my first payment. One friend stayed at the hotel and paid for bed and breakfast only to be told that they didn’t offer breakfast. Doesn’t ring true if you read previous reviews. Will not be revisiting. What a shambles

Arrived at hotel, checked in, got to our room to find toilet cistern cover on the toilet seat, so my friend went to tell reception, a young man came to the room put the cistern back and apologised. My friend went to use the toilet to discover it was blocked with p**, again my friend went to tell reception to be told by the manager that they knew about it, yet no one said anything when we checked in. They called an emergency plumber who travelled 2 hours to fix the problem which meant we had to wait for him to fix it, only to have go to collect the part that was broken. Our compensation was 2 free drinks and breakfast........I dont drink so we wanted some money for the inconvenience. We got the breakfast which we booked the night before only to find that it hadn't been put through.......Faulty Towers came to mind. Staff were lovely especially Josh, he really needs to be in management.

An appalling experience, the accommodation was tired, basic facilities were poor, shower had no water pressure, TV had no signal, pane of glass was broken, lights flickering in landing. Feel sorry for the staff who clearly had to deal with ours and many other complaints!

Staff were friendly and very accommodating, the room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious using local produce and we will definitely be returning. It’s a perfect location for our visit to Bicester village shopping and lastly but definitely not the least a big shout out to Ros and Stacey for making out stay one to remember. Customer service is exemplary we will definitely be returning

Went for a, not cheap, Sunday lunch with my family, never again. The food was awful - chewy cold turkey, cold Yorkshire puddings, uncooked potatoes and vegetables you can't even cut with a knife and fork and the cauliflower cheese may as well have been rocks covered in cheese. Was truly awful and we left feeling rather sick and sorry for ourselves! Gutted as we had been looking forward to it.
