We’ve enjoyed the weekend at Urban Valley. We visited with our small dog. Upon arrival they made us feel welcome! Dream, our dog had his own bed, a bucket full of goodies also for him to enjoy! The manager, Adrian is very kind and professional in his work. We enjoyed the afternoon tea at bar area close to the reception, and we were served by Peter, another hotel gem! Welldone, we will surely re-visit! Breakfast was delicious and rooms very clean and neat! 10/10 👏Thankyou Adrian and all the Team

I spent 5 days in hotel due to business visit to Malta. First feeling was-it feels like home, it is very comfortable since room is equipped with everything you need (if anything missing, reception stuff was always helpful). My room was on the 9th floor with a great view, and quite calm. Since I visited in February, I was not lucky to use rooftop pool, but I would be happy to go back since there is a great view from the pool (pool deck was open so you could go and catch some sun). Another plus is that there is laundry service in basement, which I imagine for trips longer than just a few days is very useful. Everything was very clean (they do weekly cleaning which I didn't mind as I read policy in advance), and staff was very nice. Check in was smooth and late check out was possible since room was not booked, that I appreciated greatly due to late flight that day. I found out that currently they are switching between operators for kitchen so unfortunately I didn't get to experience lunch/dinner that was mentioned in previous comments, but I believe this will add so much to their offer from March onwards. You can still order food through Wolt and have it at home (which I found very cozy!), which is a plus compared to classic hotel concept. Location is in Msida, which is more of residential area, which I didn't mind (since I lived in this area some years ago when I was working in Malta) since it's very quite and you can reach the sea by walk. It's very central so by taxi or bus is also quite easy and fast to reach touristy and bars area. Overall great experience and very comfortable. I would recommend.

Perfect location. Clean room. Great service. Good view. But.... I visited in March when it was very cold. No heating and the sliding door had many gaps where the wind whistled in so my two nights were very cold and no additional blankets.

The hotel is relatively old, but it is in the first row by the sea. The room has a small balcony, facing the yacht marina. There is a small supermarket downstairs. You need to take the bus to the ancient city. The station is also downstairs. It is very convenient.

Great service-clean hotel This is the first review I have written for a hotel The hotel was great !the reason I am writing this review is because of the hotel staff. This was an first visit to Malta and with their help.suggestion and gudisncs we had a great experience. Our room was quite opacious and enough storage for a phot stay.It was another clean .Breakfast was excellent If returning to Malta ,we will stay at The window hotel again!

The hotel is so beautiful, the breakfast in the restaurant is very good, the service is first-class, and there is also an Asian restaurant. The British butlers all speak English. Great experience for traveling. The hotel has a big swimming pool. There is also an outdoor restaurant

Very dirty apartments, they never wash, in the 10 days that I stayed there, they never cleaned the bathroom and they never wash the floor, the towels were changed every day, because I always called and they were changed. Don't go there because they are really dirty.

I will start by saying what a great hotel, a great location and the rooftop pool is a great little area. But the hotel staff are useless, We had paid for our trip in advance and paid for breakfast and upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view. I will note that we had 2 bookings 1 for the first night and a booking for the 3 following nights as we changed our travel plans due to flight costs and had a extra day.on arrival at 4pm ( check in is 3pm, we were told our room wasnt ready and we needed to pay, i told tge guy we had paid and had to get proof that i had, we were also told we hadnt booked breakfast or paid the upgrade again i had to find the proof, eventually all was sorted and we finally got into our room Next day we went down for breakfast and were refused entry as we ”hadnt paid” again we had to wait whilst it was checked, to then be allowed in. Later on that day we recieved a call to the room asking if the room was ok and do we need anything, we asked for a littpe milk for tea and within minutes it arrived, 10 minutes later the phone rang again and it was reception saying that we hadnt paid and if we dont go down straight away and pay it we have to leave. Again i had to go down and sort it.. finally all sorted... till departure, we werevthen told we hadnt paid the city tax, and even tho a trainee receotion lad said to the lady he was there when we paid it, she said if its not on the system we pay.. its only a few euros but its incompetence. The room itself is nice, spacious and comfy beds with a fantastic shower. The roof top pool is a great sun trap too.. Breakfast was nice, and lots of choice with real orange juice A good stay but ruined a bit by staff not doing there jobs

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. We arrived around 23:00 hrs. (due to flight delays otherwise planned 20:00 hrs.). On arrival there was a receptionist called ”Vladimir” who checked us in & provided the room. When we went up to the room A/C did not work more than a few seconds, no telephone in the room to inform, so my husband went down (a long way) & informed him. He came to the room & tried & put it on & it worked again for few mts. while he was there, so he said it is working & left the room. But, it stopped again just after he left! My husband went down again & told him....what he has told my husband was he cant help & we have to sleep without A/C until next day until he find a technician during the day time!!! My husband told him it is very warm for us (coming from Denmark) we can’t sleep without A/C, that is why we paid for a A/C room! He said he called his boss & he told the same!!!! We were very shocked to hear, both the Receptionist & his boss have the same mentality when serving guests! Then my husband had told him we will bring our baggage down, stay at the Reception & call Police! Then he said, he found a room in another block, so he given direction to go to an entire different building.....we now walked to that place with our baggage alone much after midnight without any help from the Reception! There was a man sitting at the reception in that building, but he was mostly like a watchman! When we went there found that room A/C was dead, then found out remote control has not even have batteries, so we complained to that watchman! Then he came & check, he called Vladimir & informed A/C is dead, even no batteries in the Remote! Watchman was asked to come & get some batteries, when watchman went there no new batteries at the Reception, but he got some old batteries! Somehow A/C worked a bit, then stopped again after a few seconds….We informed Watchman again….this is around now 02:00 am, we haven’t had even our dinner! We told him you fix A/C issue & we have to go out & grab something to eat (luckily in that area there were lots of small take away/snacks places were available until late, so we grabbed Pizzas. When we returned, Watchman said the cables in the A/C were disconnected but now they were fixed! So, it worked finally but with lots of noises which we realized we had to live with them!!!! Then while we were sleeping we noticed so much of noise (talking, screaming, running up & down, music, doors opening & closing, etc.) on all the corridors throughout night, and then continued whole time until morning & beyond….then we found out the block where we were transferred was purely reserved for some 200+ teenagers looks like a high school group from Italy/Spain who behaved nothing uncontrollable children – Sadly, unprofessional reception couldn’t think the difference between 200+ teenagers & a descent couple who want to have a relaxed holiday…how on the earth he put us in the middle of 200+ teenagers!!!!
