Hampton Inn Birmingham I-65/Lakeshore Drive

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Santa, a tree and florals on every table in the dining room. Very charming!

We had a wonderful stay there. The staff was amazing. Specially Faith !! She was very helpful. Can't wait to return for our next visit

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, free breakfast in wonderful dining area.

There is no carpet m the rooms, which make the floors cold. Also, poor lighting in the rooms. Not worth the $300 that we had to pay.

Very attractive and well-designed. Bathroom is nicely appointed. Do not like the excessive height of the bed, not human-friendly, but this is true of every hotel these days.

We where driving through and needed to stop and rest for one night. I reserved and paid on ******* when I arrived at midnight the clerk said she needed to run my card and told me my total was $169 (******* $197) I thought ok, came out a bit cheaper..something told me to check my bank and sure enough I had two charges, one for $197(*******) and one for $169( Hampton Inn) went downstairs the clerk said she didn’t know anything to wait till the morning.. I go in the morning frat clerk tell me she has nothing to do with third party companies and to call them. I asked for a receipt for the Hampton inn charge she said we don’t give receipts. I sat down in the lobby and contacted ******* they right there and then called Hampton inn there was some sort of mistake and I was refunded immediately by *******. The room was clean bed was clean mattress was new. The AC unit was pretty loud and as it ran there was a constant “tapping” sound so I wasn’t able to rest much.. breakfast was good. Eggs,potatoes,bacon, grits and all the traditional continental breakfast choices. Bottom line, I recommend this place as long as you keep on eye on the charges if you reserve on line.

I checked in late one evening. Got up early next morning and took a shower only to find shampoo dispenser empty. As I was leaving I brought it to the attention of front desk employee. Later that day when I came back it was still empty so I asked one of the girls cleaning rooms to please fill it up. Left and came back later that evening and it was still empty. Fortunately my daughter, who I was visiting loaned me some just in case. Also, Keurig K-cup coffee maker did not work. I will be visiting Birmingham a lot over the several years to see my new born granddaughter but will definitely not stay at The Hampton Inn!

Rented two rooms for two nights. First night the toilet quit flushing. The brought a plunger for us to use but never sent someone to repair the next day. Second room AC went out the second night. Had to move to another room at midnight. Desk clerk was rude and wouldn’t let us leave belongings even though we were checking out in a few hours. Demanded we move everything out. No one could’ve used the room. Terrible desk clerk.

The check in was easy and pleasant. Great room, great shower and fabulous bed.
