Hotel Zimba

Everything is run like clockwork, very efficient, very professional as well as very friendly. There is a nice, relaxed vibe to this hotel. The food is amazing.... everything you need for breakfast ( though the coffee was a bit disappointing for some reason and the filter coffee was often lukewarm), and the dinners are a 6 course feast. The soups are incredible and the salad buffet is so fresh. The little tapas style plates of morsels are so elegant and refined as well as tasty. One suggestion though to the hotel is to lay out 2 knives on the table at breakfast .... I found myself with jam flavoured egg and bacon at times from using the same knife! Travelling solo, I was in a single room.... nothing spectacular but functional with plenty of storage space, a comfy bed, a safe, and a walk in shower in the en-suite. The view from the balcony though was beautiful and scenic. The swimming pool is lovely and set in a beautiful room. It's about 15 metres long so plenty long enough to get a good work out on each length. Perfect for building up an appetite before breakfast ! The rest of the wellness area also looks very fine though didn't use. The hotel's location is good. There's a spar supermarket 50 metres away. It's in the middle of Schruns so easy to have a walk round the pretty town. It's about a 3 or 4 minute walk to the train station where many of the various ski buses depart from, and there's another ski bus stop 3 minutes away in the other direction. It's about a 6 to 7 minute walk from the hotel to the local gondola station. All in all, if you're visiting this area ( my first time in the Montafon area and it surpassed expectations ), I would throughly recommend this hotel. It's superb and I'd certainly go back again.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on a skiing holiday. The staff were really super friendly. The food was exceptional every single night. The beds were really comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We’d highly recommend and definitely stay again. The spa was an added bonus. They photographs really didn’t do it justice. All the facilities were absolutely brilliant huge big sauna steam room. The swimming pool was gorgeous and the treatment massages were fabulous after a long day skiing and the relaxation areas were perfect and we mustn’t forget the cakes every afternoon when we got back from skiing were fantastic.

What a superb hotel! Family run, and it had that nice feel about it. About 100 guest. Food was amazing. Service was super efficient but also friendly. Didn’t time it, but a short flat walk, say 5 mins, to main lift. 3 mins to the bus stop. Super gym, pool and sauna. Excellent boot room for skis. Etc. Schrun is a nice little town. We were there for UK half term week. Hardly any queues, hardly any Brits. Would definitely go there again. Ideal for families and couples.

Unfortunately, there was no room when we came so we couldn't stay the night. However the reception staff and the manager were so kind and helpful in a way I have never experienced before. I'm sure next time I'll book way in advance in order to enjoy this amazing place and service.

Excellent value for money and scrupulously clean. Recently renovated spa area also very upscale for the price.

Very very good hotel. The rooms were nice and typical for Austria. The food was excellent ! At breakfast, the menu for the dinner was available and one had to select one of the main dishes you would like to have. Breakfast was excellent and with many local products. Vere good for the local economy and for the environment. The inside swimming pool was very good, also the fitness room and sauna. All people of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the center of the town and was very close to the funicular.
