It was my first time in gaya and i had a very pleasant stay at the bodhgaya regency hotel. The hotel with an exceptional set of staff provided great service. Though the rooms are a bit old, they are spacious and clean. As the hotel is near to most of the bodhgaya attractions including the mahabodhi temple, we could just walk from the hotel. The place is also close to, the 80 feet buddha staue, several monsteries and the market.

This hotel is located near the temple and 80 feet buddha. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread is not that great. The rooms are spacious and very clean

We were a group of 10 people. We stayed a total of 3 days. On the first day we arrived, I needed to take a shower after many long travel days. I get in the tub to shower. Not realizing the tub floor was like stepping on a water bed. It was not firm like a tub should be. As I moved, my foot went lower and I went flying on my back out of the tub, no safety bar to grab on. As I grabbed the shower curtain, I fell flat on my back to the floor and hitting the top of my head on the wall. I would never stay at this hotel again. Complaining to the hotel staff was useless. Travers beware.

Nice stay, clean rooms, cooperative staff. Our room had plumbing problems and they changed the room within 10 min. Nice decor and restaurant is very reasonable, price wise.

Near by bodhgaya temple, room location are good, best place if want to go bodhgaya. Food are also good

We had booked double / twin bedrooms, they provided both rooms with twin beds room was average, towels shabby, toiletry didn't get provided despite being asked for, breakfast average. Definitely not worth 4 stars, not even 3 stars

Good hotel, large rooms, good room service. All places are nearby. Food from inhouse restaurant is ok bit not that great. Breakfast buffet is ok but not great

This is my second stay at the Regency as I stayed over night during a Buddhist train tour in 2014. I was happy with all aspects on that stay. (I was impressed) This year I came to Bodh Gaya to do a week long personal meditation retreat. The Regency supplied everything I needed from location, very clean hotel to a wonderful staff They make my week in Bodh Gaya amazing. Kudos to the restaurant staff.
