Everything Was Perfect!! Two couples stayed for six days in the Carrick in Camogli. We were on a ”roots” trip for my wife and her sister, both with strong family ties in Italy. We had rented a country house that was represented as being wheelchair accessible which was far from the reality. We immediately escaped and found the Carrick which saved this part of the trip. The hotel has been recently renovated and done beautifully. The bathrooms were especially elegant in Carrara marble. The staff were very knowledgable and helpful. Amazingly they were able to connect my wife with relatives in the town, The food in the restaurant was first class, including the complementary breakfast, We ate at several good restaurants but, unusually, the hotel restaurant was the best. Excellent location views near Brignole station, where the bus arrives from the airport Area well served, full of shops and near the railway station, from which trains start to the most famous localities. The staff were all fantastic and very helpful at dealing with our requests, helping us book taxis etc. The room was clean and pleasant with a nice bathroom and shower, the continental breakfast buffet was great and the views from the pool were great. The booking system for the pool meant you had a guaranteed slot but could only use it once a day. It is a shame that it costs so much money to use the beach, particularly paying $50 for two sunbeds when there's only one of you. I would happily stay again if you could use the private beach for free as a guest.

Beautiful hotel near the station and port. Arrived in late and got a lovely welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was excellent ! Check out was easy and breakfast was good. There is a free luggage storage service too. Overall a lovely stay.

Hotel Metropole is one of the best in all of Italy! My wife and I returned for the 3rd straight year in a row (all the way from San Diego, California, U.S.) because of the incredible beauty of the hotel and manicured landscape, fitness spa for my wife, spectacular location on the Mediterranean Sea, wonderful hotel restaurant, and of course the very friendly hotel management and staff who always treats us as if family and the hotel always accommodates our request for a special nostalgic room during our stay! A big hotel with clean rooms! There are many halls nearby! The hotel waiters are enthusiastic about helping travelers. Most importantly, it is close to the station, and it is especially convenient to travel to and from Milan! I have lived three times and love it every time!

Although this being an airport hotel, it was surprisingly well appointed. They even had a sauna. The rooms were small, but incredibly well laid-out, comfortable, and efficient. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs as well. I will be back in Genoa again, and will definitely be staying here next time! Thank you !

Excellent modern mini suites in a renovated building just across the road from the Principe train station and on the main street to the historic centre, about 10 mins walk away. (Palazzo Real is on the same street). Entrance to the hotel, like many of the other old buildings is very narrow so take care not to miss it. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants but still pretty quiet. We had a separate bedroom linked to a small sitting area with a super large armchair, desk, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and even a couple of biccies. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Bathroom was also reasonable size with modern fittings, a shower cubicle (no bath) and complimentary shower gel and body lotion. A buffet breakfast is usually available for 7 euro we were told but was closed due to covid. This was not an issue as there is a decent cafe next door and several others to choose from close by as well. My only criticism was that there was no heating in the room. We could only get the air con to blow out cold air and as it was pretty chilly and wet during our stay, we could really have done with a bit of warmth.

Due to an unexpected curtailing of a cruise I needed a hotel close to the airport at a decent price and this one fitted the bill. Check in easy. Room on floor 6 was spacious and clean with 2 single beds. TV channels all Italian. You're in Italy so fair enough. Not much round in terms of eateries on foot that I could see so Deliveroo will be your friend. Breakfast not great but it was in with the price so 🤷 Genoa airport is about 150m away so easily walkable which was my main reason for using. Not really close to Genoa centre so will have limited appeal to tourists although there are lovely mountain views to the rear.
