I stayed for 2 nights in November 2023, in a double room. I loved my quirky room, the pillow menu and the size of the room and private bathroom. The pillows (all different types, and more found in the wardrobe) and the bed is comfortable to sleep on. The bedding is hypoallergnic and great for people like myself who have an extra senstive skin. There is a scale under the sink to weigh your suitcases (and even yourself!). It is conveniently located, steps away from Piazza Maggiore, but tucked in a quiet street. It is easy to get to the main streets via Piazza Maggiore, as most places are within walking distance. Breakfast contains a variety of choices for the guests and an option to make breakfast requests. Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. If you want to book a taxi, you can ask the staff at the reception to call for a taxi. Taxi fare to the airport cost between 20 to 26 euros. For me, as a single person with 2 suitcases and travelling after 9 am during the weekday cost me under 23 euros. Journey from hotel to airport is around 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. As I was arriving to the hotel from the train station, I asked the hotel in advance about which taxi company to use. I was advised to use the company called COTABO, who can be found outside the station. Alternatively, you can download an app called "TaxiClickEasy" and book a taxi. From train station to hotel, the taxi fare was under 9 euros, travelling at 4 in the afternoon, during the weekday. Thank you to the staff at Phi Hotel Bologna for making my stay a pleasant and happy one. This was the last stop in Italy before returning home, and a perfect place to end my holiday.
