Booked this hotel as a cheap resort, the staff were okay, When i checked in they took an extra fee of 6 euros, i feel like this should be stated in the final price at checkout. The location is kind of sketchy, the hotel has 2 separate buildings, one is where the check in takes place, the actually room i was staying in was located in an apartment complex across the street, the main door is unlocked and a second door where a key is needed. The air conditioning was not working, in the winter porto is cold and raining which wasnt nice to come back to after a day outside. The ceiling has a smoke detector which had been hanging off and not secured on which looked messy. Behind the bed there was lots of dust. No toothpaste but they had shampoo. I was having trouble with the lock when i returned on my first day, I had to walk back across the street in the evening, there was no reception staff so when i rang the bell the cleaner came out. the way she greeted me seemed like I had interrupted her in something more important than the fact i couldnt access my room with my belongings. I guess that is the price I have to pay if I book a cheap hotel, if its too good to be true then its most likely not worth it.
