Jualis Guest House

Absolutely great host and his son. Nice place ad service,It was the best place of stay of my trip to Portugal due to the host, envronment and service. Breakfast is good and does not cost much,It should be requested separately.I would go there again if I come to Porto.

Great home stay! The place is very clean and in quite a good location. Pedro there was super friendly, letting us check in early and giving us a free breakfast even! It was a fantastic stay, highly recommend it to anyone.

The staff were all very friendly. They also upgraded our room type. The room was clean and smelled nice.

Jualis is about a 15 minute walk from the very centre of Porto. I got off the Airport train at Trindade and walked to take in some of the city. There is a closer station to the guest house. The location and quality of property interior was excellent value at the price range. The staff were very pleasant and affable with broken English. Breakfast was great. Sat to eat outside in a small courtyard area where they kept various exotic birds! Guest house was down a slightly darker road at night but never felt unsafe. Fob used to access property with no issues. Bedroom lock in lower floor a felt a little slack but no issues. This particular room was near street level so heard passers by but not particularly disruptive. Room was ensuite and clean and good size. (No squeezing past televisions or furniture!) Bottom right of road there is a good amenity store stocking foods, fruit, veg, alcohol etc Top right of road there is a post office where you can send post cards with the box clearly marked. There is a short walk down toward Douro with great (particularly sunset) views looking down to the river and the bridges spanning across it
