Hotel Boracay Resort
Arrival and check-in were very easy, and I used the airport transfer service from the airport to the hotel. Without a doubt, it was very good and worth it.
I was not very satisfied with the room. There was mold on the ceiling, some furniture looked old, and the lighting was not great. Room service was reasonable, but every day they came at different times, which was a little uncomfortable because we never knew when they would arrive. When we called to request service, nobody came at that moment — they only arrived later in the afternoon.
There was no water available inside the room. To get drinking water, it was necessary to go to the hallway and get it yourself. The minibar was empty as well, even if you wanted to buy something, since you needed to call and request it first.
Breakfast had a good buffet selection, but it was not completely included. For example, if you wanted to drink a simple American coffee or similar, there was an extra charge of 145 pesos.
Lunch and dinner at the hotel were very convenient. However, the unlimited drinks package was a very disappointing service. Staff did not serve drinks at the table, so it was necessary to look for waiters constantly. Drinks were served directly in glasses, and some basic options were unavailable. For example, when ordering beer, you had no idea which brand you were drinking because it was served warm and directly in a glass. In my opinion, this was one of the worst services in the hotel.
The gym was good and had a fitness professional available during gym hours.
Beach access was very easy and convenient.
There were also ongoing renovations both inside the hotel and in nearby buildings, which were quite annoying. The noise started very early in the morning and lasted throughout the day. For example, my room had a beautiful pool view, but the entrance side faced a structure that looked like an abandoned hotel under renovation every day. It was a bit noisy for people who choose a resort to relax and rest.
Overall, the staff were very polite and helpful. The cleanliness of the resort was also good, and both the hotel itself and its location were very good.
Only these details made the trip not fully meet my expectations.
