This little hotel is a gem. It is in the very desirable shopping/dining/ walking area of Bordeaux, and the staff is incredibly helpful. They made dinner reservations, booked a taxi to and from the train station (the only thing not easy to get to), and even helped us at the nearby laundromat when we had trouble with the signage. Our room was beautifully decorated with everything we could need, and the bed was extremely comfortable. For an American the faucets were a little hard to figure out, but once we did, they seemed self-evident. There is no elevator, but the staff seamlessly handled getting our luggage to and from our room and storing it after checkout until time to catch the train. Breakfast on the roof with a view of the cathedral is made in-house—even the yogurt—and eggs are cooked to order. It is more than worth the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not looking for a large hotel and who can manage stairs.
