We had a really enjoyable stay at the the XV Beacon, thanks especially to the wonderful and talented staff of the hotel who made our time in Boston so special and memorable. Everyone at the hotel, without exception, was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Special commendations go to our fantastic concierge, David, and our driver/knowledgeable tour guide, Mark. The hotel offers free car service to local restaurants and locations, which was an unexpected and very welcome amenity. Mooo, the adjoining restaurant, served amazing breakfasts and lived up to its reputation as one of the best, most popular steak restaurants in Boston. The hotel room was spacious, well-appointed, immaculately clean, and very comfortable in all respects. Overall a top-notch location and experience, and we look forward to returning to XV Beacon on our future travels to Boston.

The rooms are very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. Staff are, to a person, attentive. Special recognition is owed to the overnight clerk and the Lexus drivers. Housekeepers are very organised and proficient. Concierges have good knowledge bases and memories.

Great location in central Boston, Freedom Trail on your doorstep, great Irish pub across the road! Good service from all the staff. Our hotel room was a good size and a had good shower in the bathroom. Kept our bags for us while we explored on our last day with no issues, very helpful.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel, and we found our stay there exceptional in every way. The property is lovely, and we found our executive classic room to be very spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel couldn't be better: it's very close to the Freedom Trail, and the Beacon Hill neighborhood is truly beautiful, which made strolling the nearby streets a delightful experience. The entire staff is wonderful. Each and every staff member was very professional, kind and helpful at all times, and we felt very welcome at all times. We used the house car service 5 times, 3 of which to take us to dinner. Mark, the evening driver, not only drove us to our restaurants, but served as a fascinating tour guide. A special thanks to David, the concierge, who gave us great dinner recommendations. I highly recommend XV Beacon to those who are looking for a lovely, boutique hotel that provides excellent service.

Terrible experience. From the rude valets who complained about carrying bags (pardon me for assuming that was their job) to the small tired room with an old dirty carpet, run don’t walk away from XV Beacon. Obviously, it is a terrible place to work as all of the people there are so unhappy. Matt at the front desk was so nasty, I felt sorry for him and regretted giving business to an establishment that created such an unpleasant working environment. XV Beacon…major fail at the attempt to be a cool, city boutique hotel.

Wonderful overnight stay. We needed a mini-vacation and XV Beacon did a wonderful job from the moment we pulled up at valet until we departed. Prompt room service, a Lexus transport to/from dinner, and nice greetings throughout our stay. We did not want to leave! I had stayed here 20 years ago when it first opened and they have not missed a step at all.

To keep it brief we had high expectations of this highly rated hotel. For some reason upon arrival, the valet was not very kind. It didn’t make sense. But once we came inside and met the rest of the staff at all, began to take form. we immediately called our booking agent and canceled the room due to the lack of greetings, or any type of welcoming gesture by the hotel staff. There are so many great hotels nearby. Look elsewhere

Solid hotel in a great location to see the city of Boston. This was a quieter hotel with the boutique vibe for sure. The room was very nice and clean and plenty of room for a few nights. As this this is a moderately priced hotel i think it delivers quite well for the cost. I will say that i did not love the food from room service, but that could just be personal preference. Would i stay again? Probably not, but that is just because I don’t think there was anything exceptional about the place.

The XV Beacon Hotel is perched atop Boston's Beacon Hill just steps from the bustling Financial District and the Massachusetts State House. I appreciated the exquisite vibe portrayed by the hotel's Beaux-Arts facade, chic decor, original cage elevators, grand marble staircase, dark-stained woods, crimson accents and antique furniture. High end details abound in my spacious Beacon Hill Studio accommodations with cozy love seat parked in front of the fireplace dispersing a distinct residential feel. Curated art pieces with a color palette of taupe, cream & espresso creates a classic ambience. The bath was marbleized and outfitted with a rainforest shower & whirlpool tub combo. Mooo... is such a cool name for their steakhouse restaurant (why not) serving items like grass fed beef, noteworthy salads & desserts and inviting cocktails as well as an award winning wine list. The menu reveals meaty items ranging from Japanese Wagyu Sirloin to Omaha Prime Ribeye. For myself, I put together a trio of food-fare in the form of Wild Mushroom Soup, Bone Marrow and Prime Sirloin Carpaccio.....and I didn't pass on a dessert of Creme Brulee,,,,this culinary collage was a jackpot of flavors. Mooo... is open 7 days a week for all dayparts. So, if you relish an exquisite mix of architecture, history, all the creature comforts and top-notch service....................then try the ...............XV Beacon................a luxury boutique beauty.
