We were a group of 6 cyclists on a tour of the area. The appartment for 6 was manageable for a couple of nights having one shower room and a separate toilet. Secure bike storage in the underground car park which was free of charge, just bring your own locks etc. No problem with noise and the breakfast ordered beforehand was substantial and set us up for a days cycling. The reception staff were informative and helpful and supplied the additional bedding required in good time. Great location for cyclists coming to Boulogne and good value too. Appartment was warm and windows needed to be open to cool down during the night, but pretty quiet in the area so not too much of a problem. Would definitely use again.

After our car broke down en route to the ferry, we checked in to 2 adjoining family rooms for the night. All the staff were absolutely fantastic - from the happy chap on Reception, to the brilliant bar team who kept us topped up with drinks and snacks while we re-booked ferries and trains. In the morning, the heavens opened and we were given two umbrellas to take with us as we made our way to the train station. Overall, we felt hugely welcomed and looked after by the team at the ibis, through what was a rather stressful event.

Let’s be honest, what were you expecting for €60 odd Euros? The sheets and towels were clean. The staff had a welcome smile. Sure the window curtain hung badly, the shower curtain was none existant, the security lock had the day off, and the paintwork was older than me! One night, 2 dogs and a tired wife. Worked for us. Not sure when or if we will repeat the experience but we were up early for a long drive south and that counted for a lot.

We arrived here as part of a road trip to Spain, and it was excellent. Access was easy, the accomodation was large enough for all 6 of us, everything was very clean, and there was a lot of appliances / etc to make life easy. The beds were comfortable, showers worked nicely. We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on that, but there was a boulangerie about 3 min walk from the place and that was great and had a lot to offer - also a small supermarket. Had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations - would deffo stay here and consider now any Evancy as an option.

Many (30 or so) years ago we lived in France and stayed in a couple of the Barierre hotels in Deauville. The overall impression was one of faded grandeur - beautiful buildings, the decor not exactly tatty but a bit old school. Nowadays we regularly visit Northern France and have often though about staying here but baulked a bit at the price and also our recollection of the Deauville properties - would it be worth it ? Being a bit flush recently we took the plunge and were not disappointed. The whole place is decorated to a high standard which is new and immaculate but nonetheless faithful to the Art Deco heritage. Service is flawless - polite, friendly, efficient. It's not cheap but if you are in the area and want to push the boat out it's thoroughly recommended. See separate review of the restaurant, which is also a good reason to stay here.

This would be a 5* review if residents were stopped from smoking on the fire escapes at the end of the corridors. This results in the corridors smelling badly of cigarette smoke. Also fairly noisy with the fire doors opening and closing constantly. Fire escapes are simply that and not smoking areas. On the positive side this hotel is very clean with comfortable beds. The little bathroom has a good shower. The staff were very polite and helpful both at check in and check out. The car parking is free and secure which is a massive benefit when travelling with a car full of personal belongings. Stop the smoking on the fire escapes and you will change the poor reviews.

GGuest UserFront desk staff, Tiddy, waited me one hour after the usual closing time. He speaks fluent English and is very friendly. The parking is a little tricky. If you’re lucky, you can park your car free of charge after certain hour until 8:30 next morning on the street in front of the hotel. After 8:30, paying for two more hours at the machine, you can park till 10:30. I like the device which blows out hot air in the bathroom. Other amenities are very basic. Minimal in my opinion. I gave a 5/5 considering the price and the service I received.

GGuest UserHave stayed here many times over the years on overnight shopping trips from the UK. This trip was originally booked for March 2020 as UK and French lockdowns started so of course we couldn't go. I emailed the hotel and was able to change the date four times at no extra cost until it was possible to travel back from France the next day without needing Covid tests done in France or the UK (ie two years later). I met Delphine this morning on reception who I had been emailing, and what a lovely kind and friendly person she is. This was the best ever customer service with a smile in times that have been so trying for all. The hotel itself has had a transformation in the last two years since we were last there. Rooms are very stylish and bright and seem so much bigger and the bed is as comfortable as ever. The buffet breakfast setting is now where the bar is, and so much brighter and nicer and the food this morning was excellent including freshly squeezed orange juice where you feed the whole oranges into the juicer ! I can't fault this hotel, at all with it's lovely happy kind and friendly staff. I was so happy we got back to France and indeed Boulogne after two years and it is still just as wonderful a place as it always was. We will be back hopefully for our next big shop when the wine we brought back runs out - lets hope things are now almost normal again/
