This trip is to celebrate our anniversary and we did enjoy our stay here. The staffs are friendly and smiling all the time. Comfotable room, beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere. Recommend.

We stayed at the hotel during Christmas and New Year. From start to finish we really had a great time with our 7 month year old. The reception staff were very accommodating. Nice place to stay at the lakes with a 20 min walk to Bo’ness

Let me talk about it one by one. First, the scenery is unbeatable. It is on the top of a mountain. After reading the introduction, I found that it should be a holiday resort bought by a group. In addition to the hotel, there are wineries, massage rooms and other single-family houses for rent. There is also a small artificial lake where you can go boating and horseback riding in summer. Second, the house is an old-fashioned wooden structure with poor sound insulation. The thick carpet creaks when you walk on it. You can clearly hear people passing by and talking at the door. The house has no air conditioning but heating. It was quite comfortable when I went there in late October, but I don’t know how it is in summer. I used the key shown below, which is quite cute. Third, it’s still the above problem. It’s on the top of the mountain. It’s very convenient for local British people to drive there in ten minutes. But it’s troublesome for travelers like me. It takes at least one hour to walk up and another hour to walk down. There is no UBER in the town of Bonness. You have to call to take a taxi. Moreover, there will be no taxis if you are too early or too late. For me who can hardly speak English, it’s very annoying. It gets dark at five o’clock in the UK in winter. I had to walk back from the town of Bonness after dinner. There were no lights and no people in the second half of the road. It was pitch black. I was hiking in the rain alone with only the sound of birds singing in my ears. Fortunately, I am a boy But it was also a different experience. It's still not safe for girls. It's not recommended to walk at night. Fourth, the front desk service was very good. The lady with glasses on the first day was also polite. I basically couldn't speak English, but she was still patient. The best one was the front desk lady in Rome, Italy, who I met on the second day. It seemed that she had been to Beijing and Shanghai and could speak Chinese. Thank you. She patiently taught me to order breakfast. I had to transfer to London from Windermere Station early in the morning on the third day. It was too early, and the taxi I called for me on the phone couldn't come. She actually drove me to Windermere Railway Station in the morning and then went back to work. Otherwise, I would have to walk down the mountain in the dark for more than an hour at six in the morning. I would like to say thank you very much here. I hope the Italian Rome lady will come to China again when she is free. In the evening, there will be a special regular masseur to ask if you need a massage before going to bed. On the first day, there was a beautiful woman. My English was too poor to understand what she meant. I thought she was cleaning the house. Later, I didn't ask for a massage and didn't tip her. I was really sorry. On the second night, there was a strong British man. I understood it after a while. I was afraid that I was not used to it, so I didn't ask for a massage. I gave a tip but declined it politely. It was very good. Fourth, let's talk about the hotel price The lowest price is over 3000 RMB per night. The price is not cheap. Ctrip said that breakfast is not included, but it is actually included. The breakfast is very good, a typical English breakfast. You can pay the waiter 5 pounds to send it to the room. In conclusion, if you have enough budget and want to relax and enjoy the different scenery of the British Lake District, it is definitely the first choice. But next time I go there, I will definitely translate my domestic driver's license and rent a car, otherwise my legs will be broken.

From ordering to serving, it took us half an hour to get fruit salad, coffee, and bread. The main breakfast was not served after waiting for 45 minutes. When we asked, they said it would be ready soon, and they missed the juice we ordered. Regardless of whether we don’t understand other people’s rhythm, the waiting time is really long. Compatriots staying here should be mentally prepared. You can go down to order in advance, and then it’s a long wait, at least half an hour. At this speed, you can only order once. If you want to order once, you may have to wait for more than half an hour. It takes 45 minutes to wait for such a simple breakfast😒

During my stay in the UK, I suddenly developed acute gastroenteritis due to diet, weather and other reasons, and I was so uncomfortable that I couldn't check in on time. I provided medical certificates, diagnosis, and proof of taking medicine according to Ctrip's requirements, and wanted to cancel the hotel (the cancellation time was four days before check-in!), but Ctrip and the hotel never processed the cancellation. Is it necessary for me to stay in the hotel with a sick body? If something happens in the hotel, is it the responsibility of Ctrip, the hotel, or both parties?! Is this how Ctrip, which has been used for many years, protects the rights of customers? Is it so difficult for a compatriot who is in a foreign country and cannot check in or travel on time due to illness? I hope all travelers can learn from this! Travel on the premise of protecting your own health! I also hope that everyone can use Ctrip with caution to avoid my incident from happening again! The environment is great, the scenery is pleasant, but they said that I didn't book the sofa bed in advance, so they charged me 250 pounds a night. I booked breakfast for 2 mornings, but because it was troublesome to get a taxi and the train was a little early, I canceled the breakfast for the 3rd day one night in advance. The female receptionist said that it had already been charged and could not be canceled. As a result, when I checked out after breakfast on the 3rd day, I was told that I had eaten breakfast for 2 days, so the bill was over 170 pounds. I couldn't get a taxi at all, and the front desk had to call a taxi to get one.

The main building of the hotel is a white three-story building. The interior and exterior of the room are well maintained, clean and tidy, with beautiful scenery and quietness, suitable for vacation! Most of the staff's services are very good. There is a handwritten welcome card in the room, and the supporting items are very complete. If you stay in a room with children, you will have to pay an extra 35 pounds per night, but breakfast is included. It is a relatively expensive room in the Lake District, but we like it very much. The only inconvenience is that it is a bit far from the center. It is more convenient to drive, but taking a taxi is slower!

What to say about this hotel, it depends on the weather. Because it happened to rain on the day we went, the sky was gray, the scenery was not so beautiful, and the price/performance ratio was very low. It is quite convenient to drive to the Lake District, but the quietness of the hotel is a bit boring. If you're here to work quietly or catch up on papers, that's fine. In addition: this restaurant is great for taking photos and the food is delicious.
