Blenheim Lodge

A wonderful weekend. Near the top of a steep hill overlooking Lake Windermere sits Blenheim Lodge. The views are spectacular. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome smile by Janz. She showed us to our room on the first floor via a wide and spacious lobby and stairway. Beautiful big four poster bed, fresh and clean. The view strikes you. Stunning isn’t enough. Janz explained the easier walk to the centre. Booked our breakfast and times for the next two days. The location is unique. The building is beautiful. Fresh made breakfasts more than welcome. The room and four poster immaculately clean and comfortable. So quiet due to the location and the super thick walls. Our hosts are lovely. Thank you both Jenz and Robert so much for making our visit so relaxing. Genuinely would recommend Blenheim Lodge. Apologies to you both as you are both semi retired.

Very clean. Perfect location. Ideal for hikers. Great views over Windermere. Lovely breakfast. Very friendly, caring and kind people. Highly recommend for couples. Really enjoyed our honeymoon there and will hopefully return maybe for an anniversary!

The Host were very friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and tidy. The meals were very nice and catered for my needs. We would stay again for definite. Thank you so much to the host for being so nice. We had a lot of fun and loved to see the pets.

Huge beds, huge breakfasts and huge warm welcome. Just what we needed as we came to the end of a tough Dalesway walk. Very relaxed, the breakfast was hearty, the heating was on, the beds were big and comfortable and the atmosphere was calm and blissful, matched only by the views.

I had a lovely stay at Blenheim Lodge, Janz and her family were welcoming, friendly, and happy to give advice on the local area. Breakfast was included within my stay, and I really enjoyed both the packed breakfast option -which you can take with you whilst exploring, and the sit-down breakfast, within the comfortable dinning room. I especailly loved the tasty pastries provided! The view from my bedroom was beautiful, and the Lodge was comfortable, quiet, and clean. I had many wonderful chats with Janz, and I loved exploring Bowness and Lake Windermere. I would certainly recommand people visit Bowness/Windermere if they want some amazing views and some fresh lake air! It's the perfect place to relex, unwind, and feel at peace. I would also strongly recommand Blenheim Lodge as the perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to relex after a day out and about seeing the sights. I am already thinking about my next stay!
