Hotel staff were friendly, I arrived late in the evening. They greeted me and also share how to use the multi-story garage packing. Overall experience was very pleasant.

room was decently sized even for a double room! it wasnt too tight - sufficient space to open a large suitcase and walk around it. room came with an air purifier and you can adjust the room's temperature (heater, ventilation, purification, fan mode, etc.). hotel came with basic amenities (toothbrush, towels, soap, hair dryer, bottled water x2 a day). room was clean and had an onsen downstairs at B1 with a lounge area (with free coffee and tea) + dryers and washers available at 500Yen per wash. loved the space. additional hours for late checkout was 1000yen per hour max till 12pm, not an issue for us. they allowed us to store our luggages at the hotel lobby after check out!

The location is absolutely unbeatable. It's just one block past Daimaru department store, and about a 5-minute walk to the JR station. There's a convenience store downstairs, and a whole building full of restaurants right across the street. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit old, especially the bathroom mirror which is a bit worn out, and the lighting is quite dim. There's also no separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, but for this price, you really can't complain. The room is quite small though; you won't be able to fully open a 28-inch suitcase. Oh, and the hotel WiFi is practically useless. The breakfast is pretty basic – just milk, bread, and pudding – but since it's free, it's a nice bonus.

I've stayed at many JR INNs, and this one was consistently great and very clean. Traveling with my child, who always insists on seeing JR trains, I'd emailed the hotel beforehand requesting a room with a track view. After checking in, the staff even thoughtfully arranged a triple room for us, which we really appreciated. The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a minute's walk from Hakodate Station with clear signs leading to the front desk, and Hakodate Morning Market is right across the street. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Hakodate!

Two adults with breakfast for one night cost 900. They didn't charge extra for the child, and they didn't even fuss about my 7-year-old needing an extra breakfast voucher. I think it was really great value for money!

It's in the same building as the AEON mall, with Muji on the 1st floor and E-Dai Pie on the 2nd floor, both tax-free. There's a food court and a medium-sized supermarket right downstairs. Plus, it's right next to the JR station and bus terminal. Super convenient!
