We have had an absolutely amazing stay at Ramside to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We stayed in a treehouse which was utterly superb and took my breath away!! Beautiful interiors and furnishings along with wonderful outdoor area with your own hot tub and sauna...a truly wonderful experience. The service is second to none. The concierge was literally on tap to take you to and from the main hotel. Nothing was ever a problem. The main Spa pool had plenty of seating and limitless supply of towels, robes and flip flops to make you relaxed and comfortable. The Fusion Restaurant was fabulous too. 9 of us ate at the restaurant, the food was served piping hot in beautiful Asian inspired bowls and plates and looked utterly mouthwatering and tasted delicious, we couldn't fault it....The cocktails are gorgeous too I can highly recommend the strawberry breeze for any gin lovers out there! Wow!! A huge thank you, to the wonderful dedicated staff at Ramside, for making our weekend just perfect and one to remember...We will be back!!

Enjoyed experience. Took advantage of a paid for upgrade and the room was excellent. Generally, the upgrades were great (free parking), however, as part of the upgrade we got drink vouchers (6 x drinks per couple over two days). This was a bit footery as the choice of drinks was very limited (either bottled beer or glass of certain wines). I prefer draught beer and my wife doesn't partucularly like wine so we struggled what to choose. Buffet breakfasts are either hit or miss and on this occasion our experience was plenty of choice but the hot Buffet was luke warm at best. That said it is a really good hotel in a great location and catered for all our needs

The Queens Head is a lovely little BnB/Pub my partner and I both slept incredibly well, the room was spotless and the facilities were well maintained. The pub it’s self was lively with a friendly atmosphere, incredibly attentive staff and the breakfast was to die for. I could not recommend the eggs Benedict more. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

We booked this vey late with the help of the Director Keith for a New Years Eve night away. We rang the day before to try and book the Gala dinner and we were called back on the day of arrival to say there was availability for it which we booked. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted at the desk by two very polite and approachable ladies who checked us in with speed and ease. We asked a few questions about the Gala dinner and they were answered. We got to our room which was a newly refurbished hideaway room in the annex building ( just a 10 second walk to the main building). Entering the room it was bright and looked very appealing. On the bed there was two sets of bundles with dressing gowns and slippers. There was a super king size bed with lots of inviting pillows and cushions with a nice thick quilt. Decor was to a high standard and fittings and fixtures suited the decor of the room. The bathroom was new with a very large walk in shower with raindrop and hand held heads. Very comfortable. Great fluffy towels added to the bathroom. We relaxed watching the large screen t.v while we were getting ready for the night. Arriving at the gala dinner we were shown to our table for the night which had a glass of bubbly and a tray of assorted chocolates for our consumption. We were joined by 6 other guests. The place was full but everyone had plenty of room to move about. There’s a huge crystal chandelier which hangs over the dance floor which is magnificent. We had a choice of meals which we had chosen prior to arrival for our six course night. We had a starter of - Chicken Terrine with sweet chutney and toast ( wife had soup) Then we had Haggis, neeps and tatties. Beef with mashed potatoes, turned vegetables and a wine gravy. We had a chocolate mint cheesecake for dessert. Coffee and tea. There was a live band and a DJ on for entertainment. Band was fantastic. Just before midnight we were presented with another glass of bubbly to see the new year in. We were invited outside at 00:05 for a fireworks display which was a great spectacle. Finished at 0100 but that was enough and a great evening was had with new friends and great food. Slept great and got up next morning for breakfast in the hotels restaurant Prego. Full hot Northumberland breakfast, fruit, cereals and juices were plentiful and what we had was great. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and would recommend this to anyone for accommodation and dining. There is also a spa with small pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Upstairs to it there is also a gym but we did not use on this stay unfortunately. I’ve given 5 stars as our stay was made special by the standard of the hotel and its staff which are a credit to it. Stayed here for 2 nights and it was an amazing hotel , very clean , great staff and beautiful rooms . There is a thia restaurant attached to the hotel and their food was outstanding and the service was high quality . There was also a bar serving pub classics too and was very reasonably priced. I would defo stay here again and visit the restaurant as its a hidden little gem of a place.

Very economical! It's very convenient to go anywhere, very clean room, good value for money

Stayed overnight, room top floor really not suitable if you have a mobility problem, table booked for 7pm went to bar area to have a drink beforehand, no seats so we asked where to go a member of staff showed us where to go. We sat down when another staff member said we had to move couldn’t sit there ? We explained we had been shown these seats to sit on . Anyway we ordered two Irish coffees. They took an age to come and then they were just tepid certainly not a nice hot Irish coffee , we alerted a waiter who said sorry I’ll get another well that didn’t happen. Food came and was. Lovely. An altercation broke out where the manager was called ,whom in my opinion made matters worse during which she used bad language within her altercation with guests think she was Lisa. . Our twin room was small but adequate spotlessly clean and the comfiest of beds a good nights sleep was had . Would I recommend. All I will say it was ok for a night , will I return I very much doubt it I’ll stick to either Ramside or Redworth hall . At check out we did mention our complaints to reception he was very apologetic . Sorry Bowburn Hall .

More like a club 18-30 experience. The hotel was fantastic, food excellent and staff went way, way beyond. However, the main function of a hotel is to have somewhere to sleep. The hotel had two weddings on the night of my stay and between 12:45 and 14:30 I was unable to sleep for the screaming, laughing, partying that was going on throughout the corridors. I never heard any staff trying to resolve the situation, just plenty of noise. I had to pay £20 surcharge for my dogs to stay and they were not allowed In the restaurant - which is very reasonable, but have to say that they were better behaved that the other animals who were not required to pay any surcharge or not required to follow any basic behavioural rules. On checkout, I was not even asked if I had a pleasant stay. I assume the staff did not want confirmation of their mismanagement. If this is the sort of establishment used but Trip.com, then I can only say first impressions go a long way and I will stick to other hotel brokers in future.
