Hotel Piatra Mare

We stayed three nights at Piatra Mare and overall had a good experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the breakfast was very good with plenty of options to choose from. The swimming pool was excellent — very warm and exactly what you need after a full day of skiing. We also booked a massage, which was fantastic; I highly recommend Michaela, who did a great job and it was one of the highlights of our stay. The location is great, just 10 minutes from the gondola and close to the main attractions. The only downside is that the rooms feel tired and could use some attention and refurbishment. I’m not particularly fussy, but guests with high expectations of a 4-star hotel might be disappointed. Overall, a pleasant stay with great amenities and service, but the rooms would benefit from some updates.

I spent a wonderful holiday at Hotel Piatra Mare in Poiana Brașov and I couldn’t be more pleased. The location is ideal – surrounded by fresh mountain air and peaceful nature, just perfect for hiking, relaxation, and escaping the city heat. My room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the indoor pool – it's the largest hotel pool in Romania, and it was a real treat to enjoy a swim even on cooler mountain days. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, and the quiet, elegant atmosphere of the hotel made my stay feel truly relaxing. If you’re looking for a peaceful summer retreat in the mountains, I highly recommend Hotel Piatra Mare. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Very nice place, well positioned within the city, close to the ski cable car and ski slopes. Nice restaurant, very good food, i can honestly say that everything was tastefull, I would eat there even without staying at the place. Nice and welcoming staff, broad amenities.

I had a very pleasant stay. I was happy to note that the appearance of the rooms has improved significantly. They were clean, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a beautiful view from the room and the huge pool. The breakfast was tasty and varied.

Extremely loud creaky bed with every weight shift while sleeping. Cigerette smoke, which was "fixed" for a few hours with air freshener, but xame right back. Very noisy from conference room dowm hall used late into evening and also very noisy from many smokers on balconies late at night. Breakfast had 2 kinds of eggs, but not many choices if you don't like eggs.

Great hotel! Clean and comfortable rooms, amazing mountain view, large swimming-pool and great sauna facilities, good restaurant and excellent location! I highly recommended! We had the perfect combination of comfort, amenities, and natural beauty.

Horror, the style of the hotel is old, I really don’t mind. Yet why the f is also the toilets old??? Such filthy toilets I rarely have seen. I wish that I could have money back for such horrible facilities considering the cost and being with a child.

Awful experience starting from the first day. 1. We had to carry luggage by ourselves. All we heard is “Sorry, we don’t have enough stuff”. 2. Old rooms like straight from 1990: old tv with tv cable (not Ethernet, not smart tv, real tv cable from antenna), fridge that is not freezing, bathroom is dirty. 3. They will change bed only if you remove bed sheets to the floor. 4. Dogs in hotel barking at 23:30 for several nights. 5. No laundry. You can’t wash clothes. 6. Restaurant has ridiculous working time. Breakfast is ok, but very limited. 7. Slow unstable internet. And finally prices are too high for service provided. Not recommended. Definitely not 4stars.
