Hotels near Hohentorskirche - Hohentorsgemeinde, Bremen

At Motel One Hotels you know what one expects: not too much, but also not too little. I was in the framework of a service trip at Motel one Bremen. Friendly check in and nice staff. Breakfast with good quality and selection. Personal in both nights a little muu at the bar, unfortunately not a pill from the box, but only from the bottle. Rooms very clean in the usual standard. Hotel very well reachable with train right in front of the door and a cat jump to Weser/Battle.

The laundry cost 5 euros, which is fine but I was disappointed that when I was told I could get the laundry at five pm, when I arrive at the laundry room it wasn’t ready. The location is about five minutes walk from the central train station. If you arrive very late at night, I recommend staying highly vigilant. Better have company if you really need to go out at night. The staff is very friendly. But there’s a sign in from of the hotel that says don’t bring any firearms or knife there. Wonder what happened before the sign was erected. The room that was assigned to me didn’t face a highway, and I was able to use the microwave and the fridge in the hotel It’s about 5 minutes walk to the museum and about 15-20 mins walk to downtown center. A very good location for business people.

I wrote a long review of this hotel and when it came to uploading photos, it was gone. 😪 Anyway, this hotel is superb for tourists especially first timers in Bremen cos it is walking distance from the airport and tram stop. We did not need a taxi to and from the airport cos we had only one 20 kg luggage. They have two nicely working lift. It is so clean and staff are very friendly. It seems a new hotel cos the carpetings are really clean. The room is just right for the three of us. There is both a microwave and a fridge which we very rarely find in UK hotels or none at all. They mostly served cold breakfast and only egg for cooked breakfast. It did not matter to me cos I eat light for breakfast but it mattered to my husband who eats heavy breakfast. There is a McDonald’s near the airport which I guess is open either til after midnight or 24 hours. We saw a restaurant across the street but we have not tried it. There is also an eat all you can restaurant near the airport but it looks like under refurbishment. See my photos of the room to see for yourself.

I stayed at Niu Crusoe between 27 september to 1st October after booking ”any where” at relatively short notice following the birth of my Grandson in Bremen a week before. I was concerned when i reaslised how close it was to the airport and the noise there may be. I need not have worried as although the terminal is 6 minutes walk away the sound proofing means you hear nothing, as long as window closed and even when its open very little. The hotel is 12 mintues tram ride from Bremen central station and trams run every 15 minutes. The tram stop is a very short walk from Nui. When i arrived i wasnt sure that it was the correct place as Crusoe is not mentioned in the signage. The desk staff were helpful and friendly and one went above and beyond by coming to my room 321 to try and sort theTV for me. Thank you. If you dont require fesh towels and bedding you are given a drink voucher for a coffee/tea/small beer/smal glass of wine, I enjoyed that and the male staff member who explainned it to me was lovely, very chatty and a credit to the hotel. I didnt catch his name and i regret that. Thank you The room was clean, nicely decorated and had plenty of space for what i needed. Free wifi and a link on TV to access the fim library. No English speaking channels so that was great. I was anxious about travelling with all its new hoops to jump through but was settled as soon as i arrived there. Would definatley recommend.

This hotel stay should have been first class. Right next door to the main train station and easy walking distance to the many great sites in town. The hotel , by the smell of the paint, has been recently renovated. We stayed in Room 304, what a great room. Loads of space , massive comfortable beds. Perfect. But not really The curtains in the room didn’t close, a big gap letting the early morning daylight stream in, waking us up. Ok , tell reception , they will sort it. They said all the right words but never followed through in actually dealing with the issue. So disappointing. The breakfast was brilliant, but when you have had little sleep you don’t get the benefit of it. Plaza are a big mob and we travel all the time in Europe , especially Germany and the Netherlands but in future we will be giving their hotels a massive bodyswerve

The Ibis Budget hotel is in a great location right opposite the Hauptbahnhof (main train station for the city). If you’re looking to go to the Bremer Freimarkt in October, it’s right behind the Hauptbahnhof so you couldn’t find a better place. The Altstadt (old town) isn’t far away either, and you can get buses, trams or taxis right outside. This isn’t a hotel for peace and quiet - there is lots going on around it and it was fairly noisy inside and out with all the hustle and bustle of city life. We booked online and I was able to check in prior to arrival which was helpful - on arrival we just picked up keys and signed the forms, and the bill was sent later by email. The room is as you’d expect - very basic but clean and tidy. Everything worked and it all looked fresh. The beds were fairly comfortable and the shower was good. Unfortunately our air conditioning didn’t seem to work properly - there seemed to be no cooling function. As a consequence the room got really hot and stuffy overnight. We couldn’t really open the door because the city outside was noisy. The other serious issue we had was returning to our room after a day out to find it had been left unlocked by the cleaners. Luckily nothing had been taken, but I was not happy. The price was reasonable and the 12pm checkout is later than many hotels. We just had to drop our keys in a box in the lobby. In summary - this hotel’s best asset is its location. If you want to be in the middle of things:l, this place is for you.

Moin! We were here from 27. to 29.03.23 to meet the beautiful Hansestadt Bremen. To explore the city of Bremen quickly and without complications, the B&B Hotel is excellent. You can reach the center conveniently without means of transport. The hotel itself is modernly furnished, very clean and breakfast buffet very good and tasty. The Courtyard is located next to Bremen Hbf railway station. The comfortable hotel was built in 2010 and offers 155 rooms and 3 suites over 5 floors. Part of the hotel is the restored Lloyd building from 1913 with artifacts of the North German Lloyd and Bremen's maritime past. Staffs are friendly and correct. Our room was nicely decorated and furnished, with a very good double-bed. The room had desk & chair, fridge, TV, wardrobe with iron & ironing board, safe, airco, club-chair & table, and coffee & tea making facility. We had a separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Windows can be opened. All was clean. An adequate buffet breakfast is served with a good variety: scrambled eggs & bacon, boiled eggs, sausages, cold cuts, ham & cheeses, bread & toast, rolls & croissants, cereals, fruit juice, milk & yoghurts, preserves, tea & coffee. When you like to stay in an adequate town hotel, Courtyard Bremen is the place for you.

Maritim Hotel offers a classic, somewhat 1940s feel when walking into the lobby. The rooms, modern, however not losing touch of the historic hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom is a good size, but the shower is what I want to emphasise on this review. I've traveled to 26 countries, but this shower is the best I've had in any hotel by far. Generous in waterfall, easy to control the temperature. A shower before bedtime set me up for a great night's rest and one in the morning started my day with positive thoughts and a healthy mind.

Even though I only stayed for one night, I left the hotel with a good impression. Even though I checked in late, the service was very good, with clear instructions how to use the EV charger. The room was clean and spacious and it's always nice to receive a small gift of candy on the pillow. The bed provided a good night's sleep after a long day and there was very little noise from the corridor or the neighbouring rooms. While I don't think I'd ever need to have an extended stay here, I will certainly use this hotel when passing through area next time.
