We traveled with Portugal Green Walks who booked us at this hotel for part of our walk including luggage and transfers from ponte maceira and vilaserio. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating...for example bringing my mom coffee and cake to her room after our walk. It was a bit dusty in one room when we arrived and they tidied it upon asking. The dinners were some of the best we had on the camino especially the scallops and the salad with asparagus and mushrooms (seasonal). The waiters were really friendly and we played cards and made a fire. When we wanted to go out to a local concert they showed us how to get into the gate and were on time for the pick ups..we didn't swim because it wasn't warm enough but that would have been a great addition. The coffee / cappucinos and breakfast spread were good!

We stayed here while walking the Portuguese Camino. It did require a transfer off the Camino but that was part of our tour package and it was so worth it! The staff was friendly and so accommodating to our requests (early breakfast). The pool was great to soak our sore feet in. A nice lounging area outside to enjoy a drink and the dinner was wonderful. Despite not having A/C, the fan and open window kept our room comfortable. Their breakfast was the best we had in Spain.

Cute, charming property, however the service was HORRIBLE. The owner even screamed at me! We were a group of 12 people walking the Camino. The first person of my group arrived by herself, and they didn’t want to send her a taxi as it was promised on the reservation. They said that they don’t send taxis for just one passenger, and this client Sofia, had to wait two hours for her parents to join her, and then, the hotel sent the taxi. She was by herself two hours in a restaurant without knowing what to do. The booking company never informed us that in order to receive a taxi a minimum of guests was required. The waiter at the restaurant at dinner times was distracted, mixing orders, and trying to convince one of my clients that he can’t take a Martini and a glass of wine at the same time! One or the other! Who cares! If the client pays for both drinks, the waiter is nobody to be judging a client’s drinking behavior. One of the guests requested salt three times for French fries, with no results. He finally went to another table to ask other hotel guests for the salt they had in their table. And I can continue for hours describing the lack of professionalism in this place. We are all Spanish speaking, therefore no language barrier. The owner, as I said, he was very arrogant and uneducated. I was talking to him, standing by his table, while he was eating cheese and bread. He never stopped eating and/or invited me to the table, and/or standing so he can be talking to me at the same physical level (basic rules of education); I addressed the taxi situation in addition to the fact that they left my luggage into another client’s room, making this totally inappropriate for them and for me. Can you imagine if there was something missing from our suitcase? Who is responsible? Well, this man said that it was this client’s fault to “accept” these suitcases into their room. Unbelievable!! He was one of these persons “My way or the highway.” Rooms have no AC, no elevator, and no phones! I had one towel only for two guests, and when I was in the shower, I noticed it and there was no phone to call the receptionist. The shower gel dispenser was empty. The room was not clean. When I addressed these issues to the lady in the morning at checkout (I am suspicious that she was his wife) she just said “Vale” (Ok) No apologies, she was not surprised, and she mentioned that if I wanted another towel, I should have used my cellular. I replied that making an international phone call to request a towel was totally unthinkable. Last, we were “lucky” to have the owner driving us back to the Camino. He never opened us the door, or the trunk; never helped with our luggage; he was comfortable seated by the wheel all the time. And he drove us super-fast to intimidate us. Terrible! Stay away from this place.

This was a stop during our Camino walk. Everything was excellent - smooth and quick pickup and drop off to and from hotel to Camino Way. Mgr was very accommodating to our requests - early breakfast… etc. Food was amazing. We liked sitting in the garden at the back. We enjoyed our stay.

I just got back from walking the Camino Portuguese with my mother and the company that we booked through put us in this hotel. The one drawback is that the hotel is off the Camino itself and quite a ways from Padron. However, the service, atmosphere, and food are excellent so it may be a good bet. The owner was very solicitous and provided excellent service to us. The food was good. We had a delicious lunch there. It was the best meal I had on the trip.

Marion was your host who was an excellent communicator, helpful in everything that was asked of her .. Dinner was excellent quality.. swimming pool available but not open on the day I arrived .. summer only I understand.. Had dinner & breakfast which I cannot fault ..

Very good hotel and location, friendly and kind staff. The best of the hotel is the restaurant, excellent food, huge selection of Galician gastronomy. Perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Warm reception and they offered me a very delicious vegetarian option on the menu! Highly recommended
