Will try and keep this short and factual. Booked a three single bed room for two adults and one child. The gym and free parking were a big draw as well as the kitchenette. We are quite fit and not particularly tall and I have never been in a room like it. It was not the room we booked, had two single beds and a pull down couch. Couldn’t cook or get around when the bed was down and had to leave luggage in the car because we couldn’t get the bathroom door opened because of our case. The room had two chairs and a mini table so we had to cook and then carry our food to a conference room and eat so that we could have a table and chair each. The window was broken and couldn’t close so we had to listen to the noise from the road all night. The shower had one door missing and so the water poured everywhere when trying to shower. There was dust rats under the bed, the kitchen ware needed washing before use. The positives - there is no staff on site most of the time and you have to call a number to check in for any help. The staff we spoke to were very service minded and dealt with our needs very professionally and did what they could . Give them a raise ! On arrival we were told by someone just leaving the site ( staff) to park behind the hotel -behind the gates. In the morning we had been blocked in by an irate owner, who was very angry because we were not supposed to park there. It took 20 minutes to placate her and move our car. Making us late for our son’s audition ! Apparently this happens all the time with guests being instructed to park there. There is not a lot of parking at the hotel and one car is clearly abandoned there. The second night we moved to the room we had booked. Huge difference and a good sized hotel room that was clean and functioning. However, when trying to cook dinner, the pan was aluminum and didn’t work on the hob =) So we had to contact the staff on the helpline again - get our old cards signed into the old room and change the cookware so that we could cook dinner =) There was also three chairs and a bigger table so we could all sit down! We now had a proper hotel room we could move around in,hold our luggage, and sit down to dinner . This was the only reason we decided to stay for the two further nights we initially booked. We are staying in Stockholm until next week and would have inquired about some extra nights, however the last straw was realizing that the pile of gas canisters at the entrance were not for building work and were infact being used by a guest who was high as a kite and sitting in the front lobby inhaling them. Our son is ten and had to walk past drug use in the hall, from a woman who didn’t know where she was and was clearly making a habit of it given the volume of canisters strewn around the front. There is also cigarette butts and bottles all over the entrance. That was the death knell for us and we packed up and left and found another hotel for the duration of our stay. We
