When I came across Nuit Blanche online, I simply knew I had to stay. So when I could only get one night here (no matter how hard I tried), I took it, and re-jigged my itinerary. David is a great host, offering great advice on what to see and do around Bruges and his breakfast is something to write home about (I did). It isn’t for everyone, but if you like unique accommodation then this is the place for you. It’s like a medieval fairytale - there are so many original features in your room. The view out to the courtyard, canal and church is magical. Nuit Blanche is easily the most photographed location in Bruges, so when you’re in your room you really see some interesting human behaviour. I saw couples kissing on the bridge with one arm extended taking a photo, people posing like they were models, a lady photographing her two dogs. You name it I saw it… I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Nuit Blanche is a fabulous place to stay. The host (David) is gracious, the breakfast is plentiful and beautifully served, the room is outstanding, the shower is warm, and the history of this 15th century building is amazing! Be aware that it is not handicapped accessible

From the moment we walked in the door we were blown away. Our host David was very welcoming and friendly, and provided great recommendations. Our room was clean, well maintained and like something out of a fairly tale. It was modern yet still looked and felt medieval. Our morning breakfast was very tasty and restaurant quality, which is rare for other B&B's we've experienced. The location couldn't have been any better, with the gorgeous cathedral, courtyard, canal and Lovers Bridge visible from our window. We will most definitely be booking again whenever we make it back to Brugge.

A leap back in time with clever and respectful amenities. Possible, and probably the outstanding stay over a span of decades. My partner said the top floor view over a close also topped her life-list.
We will return for a longer stay next fall.

Absolutely magical property in the best location in Bruges! I booked this property for the historical element and the other fantastic reviews regarding the host. I found the host particularly helpful once at the property and I sent him an email a couple of months before our stay, but in the week running up to the stay I didn't get a reply to the two emails I sent which isn't good for an anxious person like me! I knew when booking that due to the age, it was going to be a difficult place to keep clean, but they did really well and would only say that the bathroom needs replacing and the towels updating, but the water was hot and the pressure good. The breakfast are delicious as others have said. I would have no hesitation in staying again, but do remember this is a 15th Century building and the floors will creak so don't expect 5* luxury and be disappointed just because the reviews are so great - they are from travelers like me who appreciate the building for what it is!

Amazing property and stay! You really feel like you stepped back into medieval times, with all the comfort of modern amenities. The view could not be more picturesque, right next to the famous Boniface Bridge and the Church of Our Lady. The biggest “issue” is getting passed all the tourists taking pictures of the bridge, but the park is closed to the public at night so it is quiet at night. David is a great host, and the breakfast is delicious.

This was a dream stay for us. The house is so full of historic charm and original medieval details - such character! And David, the owner, and his assistant are wonderful. The 3-course breakfast was fantastic and left us ready to go sightsee in the cold, and at night, once the church shut the gates, it was so quiet and lovely. The projector screen in the room was a fun touch for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing. We highly recommend!

When passers by are photographing your accommodation it's a sign you chose a gorgeous spot. The view from our bedroom on the top floor was of the Church of Our Lady across a canal and a little park. The ground floor is the studio of artist David de Graef and his superb works adorn the walls. He's a great host too and everything about Nuit Blanche bears the touch of his artistic spirit. That said, he lets the building 'be itself'; and you always feel connected to its rich historical pedigree. David's aesthetic creativity even extends to the breakfasts. All three courses are superb and so easy on the eye you don't know whether to eat or paint them. But, do the former, they set you up for the day. Nuit Blanche is superbly situated close by the town centre, yet quiet in the evenings as the Church grounds shut to tourists. It's a good starting point to venture around the town and David not only supplied a map, but marked on it points of interest, several walks, good bars and restaurants. Sumptious.

Delightful, old property in the middle of the old city. Walk everywhere. Very quiet at night. Loved our bed and the breakfasts were amazing. David and his daughter were very welcoming hosts.
