Lovely small family run hotel in a quiet location - short walk to central Bruges. Our room had a beautiful view over the roof tops. Facilities and breakfast were all very good. Note - there is no lift so getting bags up winding stairs was a challenge. The view from the room made it worth it. Highly recommend for those budget conscious travellers like me :)

This was our second visit to Hotel Asiris and it will be the place we always stay. This family run, authentic Bruges hotel is a short, pretty walk away from the centre. I emailed a day before we arrived to ask if Katie could put a bottle of wine and glasses in one of our rooms as a surprise for our friends and she happily obliged. Katie is easy going, very welcoming and knowledgeable, always finding time to talk . The breakfast was outstanding, with a huge selection of food with the offer of freshly cooked omelette. The breakfast room is absolutely stunning too, what a beautiful start to the day! We stayed in the duplex rooms in the garden which was perfect for us and our friends to stay - we were next door neighbours. We had a daily visit from the beautiful Freya, one of the hotel cats. We can’t praise this place enough. Katie and Eric are wonderful hosts and thank you Katie (the nice lady from the hotel) for making our stay so special.

I'd hope that you read the entire story before you judge. In short, they refused to refund and ignored all of my messages, not professional at all. So, I've wanted to spend a nice weekend in Belgium to be visiting it for the first time, I liked that hotel and decided to book with no worries about the non-refundable booking, Yes, I had no other options but to go with a non-refundable booking and paid right away. I had the option to set the time of my arrival, and few minutes later the hotel rejected my request for checking-in at 10PM (when the train arrives there), and I could neither reschedule, refund the train tickets, nor refund or even get an answer back from that hotel. What kind of hotel on earth that has no night-shift receptionist, is this how you welcome to the tourists of your country???? For two days haven't heard back from them, and *********** called me to discuss the cituation, but unfortunately they couldn't help. I'm a *********** Genius Level 2 customer, and I've never encountered such a disappointing experience. No matter how small or big the hotel is, they should be professionals, at least respond back to my communications. PLEASE make sure to contact any non-refundable-type hotel before you make a payment. I will book another respectful hotel in the same city, Brugge, and will share my experience soon

Our 3 night trip to Bruges was incredible and made more fabulous by the wonderful Katie, Eric & Asiris. Travelling with our dearest friends, we stayed in the cute duplex cottages (extremely clean, lovely bathroom, comfy bed, separate sitting area, tv, fridge & coffee making facilities) within a pretty courtyard. We were visited by Freya the cuddly house cat, drank cava in the garden (ordered by our friends) and were wowed by the breakfasts in the lush dining room. A perfect place from which to easily explore the city. We won’t stay anywhere else in Bruges. Thank you for a fantastic time! Love from your Welsh friends xx

Hotel is very good value for money, owner very nice and helpful. The Hotel is perfectly located in my opinion as very close to main areas (10mn on foot) and in a very quiet area. You also have a shop nearby (closed on Mondays). Hotel itself is good, room was decent size and breakfast was pretty good too! No lift but wasnt too bad for Second floor.

Nice small traditional B&B run by a friendly family, about 10 minutes walk from Markt square and 5 mins to the nearest bus stop or small supermarket. Otherwise, nice quiet residential area. Old building, so no lift or air con, but with spacious & refurbished rooms & bathrooms. We had a large double room at the front of the B&B. It was nice & quiet. The mattress for me was a little hard, so would've preferred a softer one! Continental breakfast was tasty with hams, cheeses, & eggs cooked to order on some days.

Very well kept, friendly, and clean hotel in a quiet district opposite St.Gillis [Giles] church. A handsome old house converted to a hotel. Rooms small but cozy and well laid out. No elevator. Very good continental breakfast available; option to have it included in room rate [more economical] or at extra cost. Buses 4 and 14 from the train station take you through the center and along the canals; get off after the second bridge past the main square [Markt]. Continue along Langerie, left on Sint Gilliskoorstraat, left again at the church. Or about a 10 minute walk from the main square. A Carrefour Express grocery store is a little further along Langerie.
