First of all, thank you very much to the hotel for allowing us to check in early free of charge. After traveling overnight on a bus, we would otherwise have had to wait from around 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. before being able to shower. We are very grateful to the front desk staff for being so friendly and understanding of our situation.
However, I do feel the bed sheets and blankets were not entirely clean—I noticed some stains and a few strands of hair. Because we were so tired, I simply brushed them onto the floor and disinfected the area with alcohol.
The hotel’s location is excellent. It is a 5–10 minute walk to both the Manneken Pis and the Grand Place in Brussels. The nearby Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert are also very convenient and close.
Just seconds away from the hotel, there is a Carrefour supermarket where you can buy food and souvenirs—truly unbeatable!
I personally think the hotel breakfast is quite good. For an additional HK$200-something, you can get breakfast for two, which I feel is worth it. However, if you want to save money, you can also buy your own breakfast at the supermarket next door.
That said, I must mention that the hotel room doors are quite thin. When we left the room with the TV playing music, we could still hear the sound from our room out in the corridor.
Moreover, at around 2–3 a.m., while we were staying on the 2nd floor, a group of English-speaking ladies lingered outside their room, talking loudly and laughing in the hallway. The noise was clearly audible in our room and quite disruptive. I had to call the hotel front desk on my mobile phone, and staff came up to the 2nd floor to ask the guests to return to their rooms. Only then could I finally sleep.
Therefore, if you plan to stay at this hotel, I recommend bringing earplugs. If you experience any noise disturbance, do contact the hotel staff promptly—they will respond quickly to assist.
