I recently stayed at Capitol Hotel and had a good experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The room was spotless, and comfortable. I especially appreciated the stunning view, from my room. The hotel's location was perfect. Overall, I recommend Capitol Hotel to anyone visiting Bucharest. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel offers an exceptional experience. I will definitely return on my next trip!

The Hotel is a bit Old Fashioned but the staff are excellent and the Breakfast Selection of both Hot and Cold items was wonderful. There is also a Smoking Terrace on the 1st Floor which is handy if you want a puff and it is a little chilly or raining. Smallish room with lived in furniture but with a great shower and little mini-bar fridge you could store items in. Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room. Close proximity to the University Area and it's Metro Station. Carrefour Express nearby for provisions.

Though the hotel itself is beautiful the bathroom really needs improvement. We had room 103, end of the hall next to a nightclub or something that went quiet around 4 in the morning. Avoid that part of the hotel in the weekends if you’re not into nightlife no more. Staff in general friendly and helpful yet due to our journey ( orient express Paris to Istanbul) the quick transfer and the lack of restauration wagons in sleeptrains in eastern europe I decided to make a extra sandwich for a 12 hour trainride. A staffmember pointed out that was not ok, and got the manager, who was reasonable and said ok, yet the grin on the face of the staff member made me loose my appetite for a day, so ashamed I felt the way he walked out. Though respected hotel policy and left the food. Never did before, never do again. Lesson learned. Pics are bathroom.
