This was my second visit to this hotel. Maison Bistro is a lovely establishment. It is cute and stylish. The location is perfect to wander on foot in the Buda Castle district.
The staff is professional, efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and very well equipped.
Breakfast was delicious and various options à la carte were available too. We also enjoyed a nice diner menu that was offered for an affordable price to onboard guests. The meal was well presented and every dish very yummy. I would definitely recommend this place to any traveller who is looking forward to have a special experience in Budapest.

Excellent facility. We could not have been happier. beautiful, clean spacious room. Great breakfast. Helpful polite staff. Dinner was excellent french cuisine

The hotel is near the Fisherman's Bastion. It is on a mountain and not in the downtown area. It is inconvenient to drag luggage without taking a taxi. The room is relatively small, the bed and pillows are soft, and the sanitary products are all L'Occitane. It is not good that there is no kettle in the room. Special praise is that breakfast can be eaten from 8 o'clock to 11 o'clock, which is great. There is not much to do in Budapest. It's just the right time to go out for brunch at noon. Breakfast is a staple food (we ate four kinds in two days, and finally I caught a train one day and got a breakfast box) + bread, meat, cheese and other buffet, which was very rich. The hotel staff are friendly and the service is very good!

Due to the corona crisis, I cannot use many of the hotel’s facilities, but there is a coffee shop available. In addition to the reception, you can also stay in a quiet and private hotel as an annex.

Service was impecable. Staff treats you like royalty here and everything is in too too condition. Breakfast is out of this world including made to order meals and delicious lattes. Location was tough as it did take 20-30 minutes to get to the Prsr side and to many other destination. That’s the downside to being located within castle district I suppose

We stayed in Maison Bistro Hotel in November for 4 nights.
It has been amazing from start to finish!
We booked a grand suite which turned out fabulous. The bed was really comfortable and the two person jacuzzi was the icing on the cake
We were greeted with a bottle of local Prosecco and cake. A really nice touch.
The breakfast was delicious and the a la carte choice of hot dishes was excellent. My favourite was the Hungarian omelette.
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
Location wise it worked out really well for us. On a top of a hill right next to Buda castle and Fisherman’s bastion. There is a good choice of cafés and restaurants, even though it is very quiet at nighttime
One thing to consider is the steep hill if you fancy waking to the Pest side. It didn’t bother us. However the bus no 16 literally passes by the hotel and goes very frequently
Overall this small boutique hotel is an absolute gem and deserves the excellent rating.

Absolutely LOVED this hotel! We stayed 7 nights. Nice & quiet at night. Only drawback to this location is that wherever you go, it's uphill to get back and there are not many restaurant choices in the evenings.
