San Marcos Motel

SAN Marcos Motel was a great place to spend our night. The room was a good size even with the king sized bed. The room had a small refrigerator with a separate freezer. There was an area to hang clothes and to stow the luggage. There was also a separate single chair for relaxing and a desk wit a chair which was great place to use the laptop. The bathroom had a toilet, a single sink and an enclosed shower. The hotel is in a quiet area away from the loud highway and bars. Very peaceful. Will look at this place to rent on our next trip

We have visited Solvang twice, but hotel prices there are a bit high. On both occasions, we stayed at this place because it is reasonably priced and located just minutes from downtown Solvang; the experience was very good, the room was very clean and equipped with a fridge and microwave, and the reception staff were very friendly. We will certainly stay here whenever we visit the area.

The shower spray nozzle. I don’t normally hop into a shower with it, spraying down on my body. It was a over sensitive spray.

We just needed a clean, safe place to sleep for the night. Outdated, rough around the edges. Sheets rough, only 2 pillows. But compared to other properties that were over $320/night, this was just fine.

Helpful and friendly staff (Ray). Old furnishings and fixtures, but well-maintained and clean overall. Plenty of parking spaces. In a quiet area. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Bath towels are smaller size and thin. Air-conditioning unit is a bit noisy for us.

The room is clean and the staff is very nice. The hotel is right off the highway 101 and is very convenient.

Ray is always warm & friendly. The hotel is well cared for & always clean. I’ve stayed there 4-5 times & I’m never disappointed. It’s just a short jaunt down the 101 to Goleta to visit my kid in college!
