This hotel has clearly seen better days, but it is still very well maintained. Although it has lost some of its former charm, the staff do a great job of keeping everything clean and in good condition.
Check-in was quick and hassle-free, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Since this is an aparthotel, the rooms include a small kitchen with the basic necessities. However, the kitchen equipment is rather limited, and the biggest drawback is the lack of a washing machine. If you’re planning a longer stay, this could become quite inconvenient.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and found the hotel to be comfortable. However, I have to mention one issue. My room (404) had a noticeable musty smell. It was obvious that the room suffered from excessive humidity. After taking a shower, condensation would collect on the windows, so I had to keep the room well ventilated.
I visited during the winter, so leaving the balcony door open was far from ideal. To reduce the damp smell, I often had to open the balcony door and keep the bathroom exhaust fan running. Unfortunately, my room overlooked a very busy street, so opening the windows also meant dealing with a lot of traffic noise. As a result, this significantly affected the overall comfort of my stay.
Despite these issues, I still think it’s a decent place to stay. If the humidity problem in the room is addressed, it would provide a much more enjoyable experience.
