Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

What a gem of a place to be during our time in Uganda for gorilla trekking. The room, the staff, the food and the overall experience is something we will treasure and share for the rest of our lives! Dianah and Kennedy our housekeepers, Annabelle and Friday our butlers, Gilbert, the GM, and Roger’s the asst GM could not have been more accommodating, professional and personable to make our stay here more amazing than it already was! From the free laundry service and cleaning of our hiking boots, the delicious food that was prepared and the cake and party for a celebration of a birthday and anniversary and the stories of the staff and people of Uganda will make this trip an unforgettable experience for all of us in the family. We would not hesitate to stay at this wonderful lodge again and we can hardly wait to see all their smiling faces and warm hospitality again! Kudos to this staff and to the lodge! May we meet again!!

Beautiful outdoor view from outdoor dining balcony. Sam was our extremely attentive housekeeper. We enjoyed fabulous massages. Great base for our mountain gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. Comfortable lodge and tasty food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

My friend and I stayed at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge during our visit to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for gorilla trekking. The property ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! A beautiful lodge with the bar, dining area, couches/chairs for lounging and thoughtful decor! There were lots of beautiful plants on property which gave the grounds a very lush feel! Our accommodations were beautiful! The room was immaculate, VERY spacious but very cozy and comfortable (I only have video of our room which I cannot upload to TA so apologies!). The beds were very comfortable and had lots of pillows! It was the best sleep I had while in Uganda! Our Room Attendant, Amos, was wonderful! He was kind, attentive, professional and always greeted us with a smile. Our room was always clean and looked beautiful. Each day we would come back to cute decorations, handwritten notes with turndown service each evening and a fire in the fireplace! He was such a pleasure! My only heads up would be that there was WiFi at the main lodge only and it was a bit spotty. However, it was a rainy and windy at times during our stay. This was not a deal breaker as it was nice to be a bit disconnected! Additionally, our room was quite far from the lodge so rooms that were closer MAY have been able to get WiFi! If you are traveling to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park absolutely consider Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge for your accommodations! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I am writing this review as I spend my last night at the lodge. This has been the most amazing experience, from the welcome from the staff, to the accommodations, and expeditions offered. Friday, Annabelle, and Gilbert, went above and beyond to make me and my cousins feel welcome, and even stayed up late to hear what we thought about the lodge. I cannot commend these staff members well enough (although all staff encountered were exceptional). Rooms are exceptionally clean, and well furnished, the resort feels secure, the drive up is scenic, and the welcoming is exceptional (hand massage on arrival!). If you are looking for somewhere in the region, do not think twice.

Amazing place. Went with my friend Caleb after some work in Mbarara. We were taken care of by a gentleman named Friday and he was amazing. The attention to service was exemplary. We had a gorilla trek one day and a golden monkey trek the next day. The experience can be physically demanding and I recommend hiring a porter. Be sure to see the performance by the Batwa people in the evening and take the time to go to ‘Top of The World’.
