Wildberry Review This was our second stay at the Wildberry Lodge. This is a review that is objective and fair with no incentive to us. Once again we stayed in the Blackberry Suite, a spacious accommodation with a fabulous bedroom and a stone fireplace. It has a separate sitting/dining room that is outfitted with a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. It has a private outdoor balcony with seating overlooking the Smokey mountains. The large bathroom has both a modern deep jetted spa bathtub and a fully equipped shower, two sinks with lots of counter space, a private separate toilet, and a closet. One of the reasons that we love the Wildberry Lodge is because it is rustic and located in the mountains yet has every amenity that you could want. Glenda and her helper Gia, make you feel that you are a part of their family. They both are super friendly and work hard to make your stay perfect. The lodge has an amazing great room and all guests are welcome to use. It has a soaring ceiling, huge fireplace, multiple comfortable couches and chairs and stunning views of the scenery. You will feel that you are visiting in a spectacular home rather than being tucked away in a small room. There are only four guest rooms in the house and two guest rooms in a cabin a short distance away. The breakfast comes with the price of the guest rooms in the house and is optional if you stay in the cabins. Do not miss this!!!. Glenda is such a fantastic cook that we have never had a better breakfast anywhere. Her recipes and execution of them are utterly scrumptious. She rotates the menu so that you never have the same breakfast twice. She is such an excellent cook that you will be begging for her recipes and you never will go away hungry. We worried about visiting only one year after the devastating hurricane and flood. We never saw any damage around the Wildberry Lodge or in the surrounding mountains. We also saw no damage around at the Biltmore Estate. We did not go down to the art district in Asheville which had the worst damage. I heard that they are making a good comeback but don't know how much progress has been made. You can’t go wrong here and will have special memories of this stay.

Highly recommend! This is a secluded, rustic country lodge on a hillside at the end of a long and windy road about 20 minutes outside Asheville. If you want to wake up to quiet and beautiful mountain scenery and an amazing breakfast this is your place. Yes, there may be bugs but you are surrounded by woods! You may also be greeted by some very friendly dogs. Privacy was not an issue, it was full with guests and still very quiet.

My husband and I stayed at the Wildberry Lodge for three nights the first week in July and had a wonderful time. We had the Blackberry room - and what a fantastic room it was! More of a suite, the blackberry room had the main bedroom area with lofted ceiling and then a sunroom off to the side, along with a nice balcony off of the sunroom; the bathroom was huge and included a jetted tub, a stand up shower, and two sinks. The last day we were at the lodge, we stayed at the lodge the whole day, just enjoying the relaxing room, along with the other amenities included, such as the game room where we played billiards and shuffle board. Glenda and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were very good. We would definitely recommend the Wildberry Lodge and would stay here again if we're back in the Asheville area!

This was an awful experience. No amenities not even a TV to watch and a theatre room with a broken VHS. We just wanted to watch a movie one night and nope. We were bombarded by bugs in the room and there is absolutely no privacy in this house. You can hear every noise and everyone’s conversation so this was very awkward. We left a day early. The only plus was the breakfast. Never again

This is definitely not what we expected. There are no amenities - no TV to watch a movie at night and we were bombarded by stink and lady bugs in the room. I know this is out in the woods but definitely expected more than what we received for the price. We left a day early. The breakfast was great but as far as being intimate it most certainly had no privacy at all if that is what intimate means. You can hear every conversation or noise in the rest of the house so there was no privacy for ourselves either. The views are nice but so was our view from the holiday inn we stayed at the night we left early. For half the price

This bed and breakfast spot is stunning, quiet and beautiful. The owners are exceptionally kind and lovely. My fiancé proposed to me while we were staying here. His plans were to propose on the blue ridge parkway but due to the hurricane, he could not do that. Instead, the proposal was magical and unforgettable. We watched the sunset from the balcony. The food prepared here is fabulous as well. The room and bathroom were clean and overall, our experience was 10/10.

My husband and visited the Wildberry Lodge for our anniversary in July 2023 (sorry, could only select August 2023 on the review) - we are STILL thinking about our stay! We absolutely loved the lodge. Very easy and scenic drive to Asheville, so the perfect balance between the quiet of the country and the bustle of the city. Another great part - we got to pet the highland cows! Glenda and Ken were very welcoming, and the three-course breakfast made by Glenda was unmatched. Best decision to stay here.

The lodge is in a beautiful location overlooking a mountain range. The lodge has a great living room, game room and sauna in the lodge. Out back on the patio is a teepee and a hot tub. We climbed the back mountain with an elevation of 500 feet. The breakfast was awesome. I highly recommend this place.
